i know it’s relative but overall i find, in this virutal world at least, that people have really high standards. the funny thing the same people judging others are not really that good looking at all. LOL talk about hypocrites. people need to get out of that bollywood chick/ malibu hunk mentality. what do you say?

sir, its not about high standards...many things go hand in hand when it comes to looks..and money for that matter..especially when there is marriage involved....whats the first thing that comes to your mind that can destroy relationships?

yes, complexes develop when either party thinks they are higher or lower than the other...sadly that is true..

Men can get uncomfortable if their wives come from a rich family and or are better looking than them...one couple particularly stood out, this guy would continuously put his wife down because he was on the "not-so-good-looking side" and she was very pretty...he made her wear burka, and psychologically abused her. Everyone could see what the problem was...but didnt say anything.

Same goes for women, if she is "saadi looking" and he is a "hero", she will constantly be paranoid, uncomfortable, and distressed in social gatherings...seen that too...and yes its sad.

so..marrying "your equal" makes quite a lot of sense when you think of the bigger picture in the long run.

Good looks don't matter if YOU are physically attracted to that person. If you think they're beautiful inside and outside, and they do you, then why would you care what media ideals say is what we should portray as good looking?

I completely agree. People don't realize how much damage having a complex can do in their marriage - be it a superiority or inferiority complex.

Everyone cares about GOOD LOOK (guy or girl does not matter) but scale or definition of good looks is different for everyone...

hmmm....good looks do count a lot but, there only little who undersands that the looks will vanish if u dont talk,behave good,with out manners ,no humanity at all but at that that moment one only need good looks so he/she can let others see ,that how good looking his/her boy/girl friend is. :D

exactly. that's the norm of reciprocity. there's nothing wrong with wanting a good looking partner. everyone wants and strives for the best they can get.
