I've posted this before but since it had such an impact on me, I'll be redundant here. When I was in the working world, I worked with this woman who was unattractive in the extreme. Buck teeth, bad hair, bad structure of facial bones. If you saw her on the street, you'd say to yourself "that is ONE ugly gal!". But spend 5 or 10 minutes in her company and you'd find her to be absolutely smashing - whether you are male or female. She dressed impeccably. She worked out and was totally buff. Was always sparkling clean with just the right touch of expensive perfume. And she just exhuded an air of confidence, love of life and fellow man and had the air of utter competence. HOW I wish I could bottle and sell some of "what she's got"!!!
i know it's relative but overall i find, in this virutal world at least, that people have really high standards. the funny thing the same people judging others are not really that good looking at all. LOL talk about hypocrites. people need to get out of that bollywood chick/ malibu hunk mentality. what do you say?
Human beings (male and female) by nature are very visual. According to research, even BABIES tend to stare at attractive faces longer than unattractive ones. An opinion is neither right or wrong and it will vary from person to person.
If one is upset about people having opinions about looks..........then let's not forget that we also have opinions about material items as well. One might drive a crummy looking car themselves or live in a mediocre home........or have a bland style of dressing..........but that won't stop the individual from forming a negative or positive opinion about cars, homes, or fashion in general. When people have negative opinions about how a material item looks......it's dismissed as human nature. When one has an opinion about person's looks.........you get the "shallow" label.
The KEY here is BALANCE. While it's natural to have opinions about physical appearance.............it's better to not let that dominate your life. And of course.....one should try to have TACT. It's tactless to tell someone to their face that they're ugly,
