Re: Good ending

thank u for posting, I have two questions

I dont get the nikah with a beautfiul eyed hoor thing, some people say that the hoor concept is presented incorrectly.

secondly, what is ta'oon ki bemari?
and what is the criteria of shahdat. for someone who doed due to some stomach ailment, or drowning, does he have to be a muslim?

Re: Good ending

^^ ta'oon= bubonic plague

Re: Good ending

Fraudia, regarding the hoor, I don't have any knowledge about it. May be some Mufassir-e-Hadees can throw some light. For me, it is what it is. I don't question it on the grounds that Wallahu' Alam.

Re: Good ending

thank u, i was thinking cancer but remembered that cancer is sartaan, and then was confused. appreciate your help.

Re: Good ending

np (i also find it recently when i saw it in Prince of Egypt, Musa AS.)

n for ur hoor conern. u must have hoory eyes to see hoor in a hoor.
(beauty is in the eye of beholder :cb:)

so all this is a matter of how clean ur INTENTION r

Re: Good ending

Hoor according to my understanding is Companion (that's all)... Hoor-in 'Eeen is Appointed Companion... remember that the word تَعَيُّنْ (ta'aeeyun) comes from its root. There is no gender associated with this.

Re: Good ending

so the link that ramyssys posted says that one reward is nikah with a beautiful eyed hoor.

so I am gathering that the info in the link is not quote accurate. dunno why it talks about nikah then.

Re: Good ending

In a gathering, a person asked this question to Maulna Yusuf Islahi (India), "Jannat mei hoor o ghilmaan kee kiya haqeeqat hei?" He replied, "Bhaee jannat mei jayein gei tau yei bhee deikh lein gei." So my friends, don't worry about this. Make sure you end up able enough to qualify for heaven! :P

Re: Good ending

I am just trying to clarify it. not cuz I am drooling over some potential hoors who potentially may be hot babes or soemthing like that.

u posted something, I am trying to gain clarification. because nikah with hoor points to hoor being a woman, but there is much written that by hoor companions, friends is meant that you will have good company.

so the nikah point throws me off. could you confirm the hadeeth please?

Re: Good ending

dude there are plenty of other things to "drool" on like knowing the secrets of the universe, the endless knowledge that will come our way... the higher state of existance (it is an advanced epoch and that is how it is described in the Quran)...

No spirit of exploration .. sheesh lol :)

Re: Good ending

I am all for that

my concern is that if this thing is passed around as fact while the interpretation is wrong, then thats an issue.

thats it.

Re: Good ending

I've been beating on that drum for a while on this forum lol I think...

Re: Good ending

In holy Quran in surah Dukhaan in ayah 54 Allah says,
So; and We shall join them to Companions with beautiful, big, and lustrous eyes.
and In Sura Tur ayah 20
They will recline (with ease) on Thrones (of dignity) arranged in ranks; and We shall join them to Companions, with beautiful big and lustrous eyes.

(translation by yusuf Ali)

Fraudia bhai.....Hoors(purified companions) are for both men and women in Jannah.

Re: Good ending

wa zaouwajnaahum bi hoor-in 'een
we shall PAIR them, with APPOINTED COMPANIONS

And 'een I explained is not necessarily eyes.

PS to the "70 babes" theorists: It says PAIR... so forget about the 70 babes.

Re: Good ending

I disagree......with your theory of "pair" and "een". A man or woman can have more than 1 hoor, and also some people will be there with their spouses as well as with hoor, zawajjnahum means join them or mary them and not necessarily "pair them".

Re: Good ending

I understand what you are saying... however, I disagree with you.

There's a difference between hoor and hoor-in een.

Also, quantity in Arabic works as singular (1), couple (2), and plural (3+)

Ain عَين means eye, Ainain عَينَين means two eyes (couple) and Aineen عَينِين means eyes (plural)... Een means something else unless you mean to say that the companions will have 3 or more gorgious lusterous eyes :D

Re: Good ending

I heard in a Tafseer by Mufti Saeed Ahmed Khan (people in Dallas and Detroit might be knowing him), that the reward of Hoor (in nutshell, having 70 beautiful people under your your disposable) is true for both men and women Momins. He further said that Mufassir do not talk about it openly cause saying that a Naik muslim Woman will have 70 men in Jannah available to her, seems a bit odd from worldly standards.

Couple of explanations, here

If someone is getting a heart burn because of my last statement then understand that most of rewards in Jannah are actually sin in this world

Wine, Silk outfit for men also, Gold usage for men are some of the rewards in Jannah.

Second explanation is the the number “70”. In Arabic language, when they say 70, they mean countless or at least “many many”. Have you realized how many times the count of 70 comes in Ahadeeth and Quran for different things (next time try to notice). One example is Allah loves us 70 times more then a mother loves her child.

Allah says: '(It does not avail) whether you (O Muhammad) ask forgiveness for them (hypocrites), or do not ask for forgiveness for them. Even though you ask for their forgiveness seventy times, Allah will not forgive them. (9.80)"

(29) Narrated Abu Huraira: I heard Allah's Apostle saying." By Allah! I ask for forgiveness from Allah and turn to Him in repentance more than seventy times a day."

Narrated Abu Huraira : Allah's Apostle said, "The people will sweat so profusely on the Day of Resurrection that their sweat will sink seventy cubits deep into the earth

Re: Good ending

Well it may very well be his opinion, but I do not think the Quran makes any bearning to 70 companions...

Re: Good ending

how bout charas , afeem and stuff

PS: i dont understand why something that is sin becomes acceptable. so while here u are supposed to be modest and all, over there everyone is hugh heffner?

maybe its limitations in my own thinking, but it does not make sense to me.
