Good bye Imran Niazi

Stage is set to say good bye Imran Khan

Uncle, aap kyun haath dho kar paray hain Niazi ke peechay? Usne aap ko 92 ka cup jitaa kar diya, aur kya chah rahay hain aap?

IK should be allowed to complete 5 years so there is no excuse later on. IK epitomizes our society very well. Anyone who has any thing or service to sell has become an expert of advertising. Of course those things and services are often nowhere near what is advertised about them. But even more importantly, once the sale has been made, no matter what happens or what was promised, the buyer does not get the money back. And the seller blames everything under the sun except the false advertising.

IK was not bad at everything though. Apart from CPEC, there was no other blunder on foreign policy front. Surely there were some mistakes such as misreading Trump and Modi on Kashmir, but largely it was handled the way it was advertised.

The economic situation however is so bad that no sensible person would even want to become PM at this time. Anyone who promises they can fix the issues in 100 days or 6 months is selling snake oil. I once took a course called Change Management, which had case studies where some organizations tried to fix structural issues too quickly. Not only that caused the issues to get worse but the efforts raised even bigger structural issues as a side effect. IK tried to fix corruption too quickly and not only did it increased corruption year upon year according to Transparency International reports, but bureaucracy, banking, and businesses have also suffered big time.

Can you image the loss ?
Some fools were saying in past that he should be given a chance .
It is not a cricket match and also , he is not an elected one , just a selected one .he chosen to become a puppet of establishment and the both remained one page for 3 years . Both having no expertise to run a country

The boat is sinking , We have no Bhutto now ,to save like 1971
We need hundreds of steps to save the country

He did nothing in 1992 too
than there Javed Miandad & other capable people in that team , who managed to win

Now he is with a team , perfectly fool like him
If the players/politicians failed , crowd of 225 million will come in the ground .

The biggest losses have already happened in the past 3 years, although some of the shockwaves are yet to reach the public. The biggest loss being CPEC, IK truly snatched failure from the jaws of success on that one. It will be a big favor to IK if someone removes him before he completes his 5 years. Within a year of such a removal, he’ll be back on a container in Islamabad selling the manjhan that mafias didn’t allow him to work and ultimately removed him so next time he should be given 2/3rd majority to tackle the mafias. Political defeat is painfully slow but is long term. I think PML-N can easily remove IK, but for similar reasons they are not interested in going ahead with it.

Just check this thread accurately 4 years ago
Same days , same mulla mafia , Than Imran Niazi was beneficiary

Now same people , doing same against him

Hundreds rounded up as TLP announces long march on Islamabad
Activists block roads, vandalise Orange Line train station, snatch govt institute bus, torture two constables.
Just a dream that he can come back to public
Public will not allow him to come out
There will be no PTI , There are almost 95% in his party are super & permanent lotay , His old fellows are almost out now
You will find him in London , he can not face the cases of corruption and misappropriation against him , he is corrupt or not , it is not an issue
Despite the present unpopularity of IK, public has a short attention span and can be manipulated. TV anchors like Rauf Klasra, Shahid Masood, Irshad Bhatti, Mubashir Luqman, etc. played key roles in selling the manjhan that brought IK to power have now conveniently apologized for their past stance and the public is still listening to them.

No doubt the original PTI is long gone and most of those in its top ranks now are there for vested interests. The number of imported technocrats PTI appointed in key positions is unprecedented. From PCB to Petroleum to Finance to Power to State Bank, same story and same failures. Those folks will be out of Pakistan soon after their jobs end. No wonder governor State Bank finds devaluation of rupee beneficial for Pakistanis earning overseas. Hamid Mir has rightly commented that while his body is still in Pakistan but his mind has already taken off.

I’ve heard many people saying what you’ve said about IK moving to London once he’s out of power because of the cases. I hope the next government shows maturity by breaking the cycle of political victimization through frivolous litigation and would not repeat the blunder of IK. Both PML-N and PPP have agreed to that in the charter of democracy.

^^^Indeed, that is how IK wanted to remove NS, and sane people were trying to warn IK how that would set a terrible precedent to remove every future government, including his own. Luckily IK didn't succeeded and now he himself should be thankful for that. There are so many premature truths aka conspiracy theories out there about all these protests that I couldn't make up my mind. One theory suggests that establishment is behind all these protests to build pressure on IK to fall in line. In any case the memes are super funny:

Unfortunately this musical chair is not about improving quality of lives of the public. I stumbled upon following video of custom officials asking for bribes and was so disappointed:

The video is almost 1 year old yet no action has been taken against the officials. I keep hearing how orders from online shopping are also confiscated by customs in hope of bribes. No wonder India has a massive e-commerce industry while Pakistan’s barely exists.

AP uncle, you are one of the most democracy loving person, and against military rule etc. Why do you think this govt getting forced out early is a good thing?

I'm not a fan of IK's politics either but at the same time I think its very important that every democrat government finishes its term. Now if the argument is that this is not a real democrat govt and came with the help of army etc than remind me which last govt came in power without the blessings of people in uniform? It has not happened and will never happen.

Its in the best interest of democratic systems that this govt finishes its 5 years and then the transition happens with the new election. As usual, its highly doubtful that the new elections will be transparent but thats ok. Baby steps are better than nothing

All major parties want the government to complete 5 years, except PTI itself. PML-N can get the government dismissed legally but they are not interested in doing that. The way Fawad Chaudry is taunting TLP and other ministers are not serious in negotiations, it seems PTI secretly want the drama that TLP is creating.

PPP has been done in very nice in Punjab by Zardari uncle.

It pretty much leaves Maryam Nawaz. Nothing is gonna change since she will be more or less (emphasis on more) incompetent than the current setup. Hassan Nisar said this right when he said that people in our government learn how to how govern when elected. He was referring to the era of Bhutto. I have seen them only become "wise" when they are out of government.

The only one who still has some brain cells left and is half competent in N league is Shehbaz but he has been sidelined by London escapee since political parties in Pakistan are like house or land that is passed down in the family. I know that there is some mistrust between army and Shareefs but Maryam can always patch it up. After all, the establishment has done her father a favor even in such bad times by allowing him to leave for London for "check up".

I heard that Hamid Gul once said that Imran will make big promises but eventually fail which will also be the final nail in the coffin for this current system.

I don’t disagree since Imran tried to use the hope and change platform of Obama to come in power. Obama learned very quickly for someone with no executive experience unlike Imran.

There might be many flaws in his character but I think that there are two big flaws that have doomed him. One is that he thinks highly of himself since he was able to come up as a relatively ordinary player in the seventies to become the captain and was able to bed many English and even one American Sita White. You can see it at the height if the France blasphemy issue that he will make Europeans stop disrespecting our Prophet. Seriously, does he think that he is Ronaldo that he has star power in France to do it?

The second flaw which can be fatal to the Pakistani state has to be his bipolar Taliban Khan personality. We all know that he likes hot women who speak English, not Meera style, and dress stylishly. His current marriage seems like a marriage for power but anyway, he tries to compensate for it by appearing “religious”. I haven’t seen it recently but you’ll see that he would always be showing his tastes in interviews to show off this pseudoreligiousity. Personally, I could care less if he is a hypocrite but his actions now affect Pakistan. We can see how the federal and Punjab government have treated the TLP by first lying to them when they first agreed to present the demands of expelling the French ambassador in Parliament. Fawad Chaudhry called them militants but Sheikh Rasheed called them brothers while they killed policemen and caused property damage.

I won’t be surprised if Hameed Gul rightly predicted that. I used to debate with people the same thing when PTI was on the rise post-2011 Jalsa. I used to argue how incompetence is worse than corruption, and IK was incompetent. In Pakistan there was corruption but it was a cost overhead for getting things done and things were getting done. Even corruption itself was decreasing as per Transparence International. After PTI, the overhead cost due to incompetence is much higher than the overhead cost of corruption alone used to be, and very few things are getting done. Many people are glad PTI did not started any major construction project in Karachi, otherwise they would’ve done the same what they did to Peshawar:

Maryam Nawaz is the future PM imo though how far in future, we dont know. It depends upon how sooner they get things patched up with establishment cuz thats the only way for any party to come in power either way. With current army leadership it may not be possible since they are already in love with PTI but when the new layer comes, its gonna happen fosho

OR

Those who got her convicted and sent her to jail will get her killed if she continues to hurt their big egos.

She has been very deferential to the establishment if you have been paying attention in the last year. She knows where the bread is buttered in Pakistan.

Independents in southern Punjab who decided to join PTI in 2018 can always re-join PML-n come next election. There is lot of goodwill in Punjab for noonies for all the kabab parathas and chinese projects that were started and/or completed in Nawaz's tenure. All the predatory loans from China be damned not that majority of Pakistani awam even has the mental capacity to understand the nuances be it worldly or religious matters.
