Who ‘denied’ inflation? Its an international phenomenon affecting every country in the world. This was bound to happen as a result of COVID tax breaks, handouts, bankruptcies etc.
Coming to terms with IMF is not just for the $6 billion program. Its more so to open the doors to investors.
The latest negotiations with IMF were not for $6 Billion, but for $1 Billion. The loss to Pakistani economy due to accepting the various conditions of IMF alone would have already been much more than that with more losses to follow. Had IK and selectors not halted CPEC projects, there would have been no need to go to IMF.
The negotiations were for the reinstatement of the $6 billion program which was suspended, $1 billion is just the amount of the tranche ...as IMF funds are doled out in quarterly tranches.
Work on 3 projects was halted during PMLN tenure due to corruption. Other than that, there was a slowdown during Covid, but in general, CPEC projects are ongoing. No such thing as 'halted'. And no, CPEC projects wont eliminate the need for IMF. They serve 2 different purposes.

Can you refer to any complain of a Chinese company or Chinese official about those 3 projects that were halted under PML-N? On the contrary,

CPEC was about building some serious infrastructure in Pakistan. While IMF is for beggars. Indeed they serve 2 different purposes.
As i said, IMF loan is disbursed in quarterly tranches. Every tranche is preceded by a review of the previous quarter. Its standard procedure. If IMF is satisfied, tranches continue. If not, program is suspended till conditions are fulfilled. Nothing spectacular about it.

That is why I called the IMF negotiations successful only for the $1 Billion. In return Pakistan has devalued it’s currency, increased rates of electricity, reduced subsidy on petroleum, etc. The actual payment of $1 Billion might happen after Jan 2022. On the side, Pakistan has allowed Indian goods to be transported to Afghanistan. Slowly but surely the compromises we’ve made with IMF will come to light.
I read the news article you shared about suspension of funding for 3 projects under PML-N. Neither of us know the actual reason behind that so shouldn’t make guesses. IK was the one who bad mouthed CPEC from the days of his dharna and only now has realized it’s importance. People like Khusro Bakhtiar and Asim Bajwa were fired after that realization. Too little, too late.
As far as PPP is concerned, it was Zardari who signed the first agreements and is founder of CPEC. Current Chairman CPEC authority, Khalid Mansoor also agreed to what Mandviwala said in the news article I shared. Chinese ambassador has not denied what Mandviwala said either.

I think if Pakistan boosts it's trade with Iran as has been proposed several times in the past, then issues such as gas and petrol at least could be controlled. Looks like some moves are already underway in that direction:

Highly impractical since Pakistan depends on western loans whom have a problem with Iran. Even China couldn’t or wouldn’t get involved in the IP pipeline.
Pakistan military should have used its good relationships in the Gulf along with any politicians with private links to Saudis or Qataris if they actually cared for Pakistan. We can’t even control our western border unless the constant murder of Pakistani policy, paramilitary and army is part of the population control plan of Pakistan.
Let us compared ourselves to the Brits whose trader asked for trade concessions instead of his body weight’s worth of gold when he had impressed an Indian king some centuries ago. It might be a fairytale but it does show you how the Brits function compared to Pakistanis.
Other than US-led sanctions, Iran-Pakistan trade is not only practical but also very beneficial for Pakistan. There is no need of China to build IP, Iran has already built the infrastructure on it's side and has offered to build the infrastructure on Pakistani side as well.

On the other hand, he is planning to ban his party members from attending parliament on the day of the vote.
He is planning to physically prevent dissidents from reaching the parliament using his goons and if that fails to ask the speaker to immediately disqualify them for defection if they reach parliament.
Let's see if the opposition can counter all this.
