Why Desi emphasise on gol roti? Girls are considered to learn making roti, when they come up with gol roti. drawing ka muqabla hai?
Fresco near Burns Road Karachi, sell chokor Arabic parathas, so I think gol roti is a sub-continent phenomeno. 
Any views opposite to this? Any experience of seeing different shape rotis in different cultures?

Rotis are goal because you start with a rounded ball of dough (peRaa) and when you roll it out with the bailan, or by throwing up in the air like pizza and chapati makers do, it ends up becoming round.
Chokor paratha starts with square shadow folded piece of dough, so it flattens out as square shape.
Btw my mother in law makes triangular shape paratha. My guess is that she takes the square shape and fold one corner over the diagonally opposite corner.

or pakati bhi hun tu aker jati hai tasveer ki terhan 
paratha chakoor nahi banta mujh se wo gool banati hun ..lekin is roti ka kya karun

Whenever i use to complain to amman je roti is not gool....she use to give me gool roti and be like"abb gool hee khani hay...toor kay nahen khani"
