5). attend wedding(s)
6). Meet Faisal Shah:mudhosh: (ill have to go Karachi for him..does anyone know his address…or know anything about him? plz share..)
7). meet Shoaib Akhtar ( i hope hez not playing for some county)
1.good...Libety is all u want to know
2.great...ok Defence is worth exploring too
3.superb...Orega (sp?) is not bad either for khula kapra.
4. Food street...nice! Defence is better sub than going to the old city. They've got most of the outlets food street has.
5.Don't forget to grab your glamorous gear then ;-)
6.Who's that?
7.Hmm...Good question
Suggestions, advice= hmm.... none for the moment...except be prepared to face a blazingly hot weather take ur sunblock lotions and any favourite perishable snacks u like :)
Happy trippin ;-)
ps. Visit to the Ehsan chapal walay is worth the experience. Liberty one is over-crowded and full of fat shoving WWF aunties out to loot and plunder away. Not ur league if u're light weigth like moi. Defence is a better alternative
dude Faisal and Shoiab r the only ppl i want to meet (other than my family)...k so ill have to call them up and get a hold of him?..okay :) and yea ill take the pics fo sho!
p.s: lol @ eh..u Canadian?
For shopping definetly Liberty and also there is pace, orega, fortress, Anarkali and Ichra.
Make sure you but lots of shoes and costume jewellery.
For food:
There is a restaurant called the village which has really nice food. Also there is a resaturant called Ziafat.
Make sure you go to food street.
Then there is the usual Pizza Hut, McDonalds, KFC, and Subway which everyone likes beacuse it is actually hallaal over there. There are also many nice restaurants in Defence which do lovely barbequed chicken and kebabs.
For food outlets, to put it simply…take a drive on the MM Alam rd, and keep a constant watch on ur right and left
Oh and go to Ashraf Tika house umm..or was it PUnjab tika house(err something like that) in Mini Market (or was it Main market…Voops!) Anyway, their bbq is just worth dying for!
Benezir Kulfa walay is close by in Liberty or the main market…ask someone yar on the rd to point u to it grins
Haleem is great on Wahdat rd…back rd of new muslim town. hehe… I hope I’m not misguiding u.
Sadiq (or Sadiqi) Trade Center on Main BLVD…was in process of being built…its a mall noma shopping building bigger than pace. Ooh how can we forget fortress stadium. Yeah great boutiques there.
Oh do go one night out to Sozo world…family cinema theater…its cute for pakistan
Tarka in defence has come up with a new version of pizza…made out of nan-keema and cheese. Its real funny but worth the taste, spices are great. Wok in Defence is a nice oriental restrnt. Hmm.. (damn I’m forgetting so much)… Nirala mitai walay has the best rasmalai…ok lemme come back with more later
thank you soo much guyz..ill didnt know all these places..last time i went there i was a kid..
um..actually my family is spread around…most likely Gulberg and Defence…
im thinking ill keep 2 days for shoes, 2 for hand bags, 2 for jewlery, and 4 for clothing..lol my lil sis came up with this idea..dont think itll work though.. n no im not going for a week..im going for 2 months…yayyy
those days u've numbered for shopping won't work. Shopping is done on a spontaneous base girl!
ps. U'll be finding plenty more cnds around here.
ps2. Don't miss out Bundo khan's food either. Oh and the Shawarma stand on the corner of Salt 'n Peper in Liberty on the back side of HKB is worth gnawing once too.
ps3. Just as u're to turn into liberty on the gol chakar...there are some juice shops before that shell pump...their juices are really yummy...but girl u've gotta have a tummy as strong as iron to digest all these foods in lhr. I took my time getting used to it :D
DB, stop bragging. What would you know about Lahore? I think you should stick to your little country called Saudi Arabia and sing praises to palm trees and sand.
^u idiot. I’m not in Saudia anymore. I’ve gone all over the world during the past 5 yrs. I can’t help braggin, I’ve been married to lhr ever since I can recall now
ps. Its nice to crawl out of ur shell once in a while Roman, how else will u know what became of those u knew once anyway
DB, if jadhah constitutes the ‘whole world’ to you then I guess I’m gonna have to leave you on your own indulgence. Who am I to change people except to bring light to their dark worlds?
wow..u really got into it...
thats cool..u know alot about Lahore...ill definately write it all down n ill try to convince my cousins to take me to those places..
do you know any good salons? i heard depilex(?) is really good..
^Depilex is great! Tariq Amin costs the same...but better hair cuts if u want stylish. Um... darnit I'm forgetting again...whats her face... Ooooo :( gimme a sec eh. She's on the same MM Alam rd.. just can't remember her name.
Roman... like I said I just wasn't only in Saudia... but since u can't grasp that...ur loss :p Just cuz I'm such an intellectual unlike u who (me) is able to percieve much more than the given picture doesn't means I've to keep on living eternally in one place to know so much about it :P plrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr (Spattering awhole buncha spit)
Advice: Keep a pack of Flagyl tablets handy. It would be hot, humid and dusty in Lahore. I think it is the dust that makes the food of the food street vendors so tasty!
Someone mentioned Village: I second that.
