if you're staying for more than 3 nights, get one of the serviced appartments/studios on rent, your wife and yourself would be much comfortable and the prices are not as high as compared to hotels. you can easily get one for 4 nights or week.
How long before could I book the apartment? i think they will not be willing to book it fairly advance; after all they are looking for tenents rather than weekly renters. Other thing is the rent, you are suggesting that it would be cheaper than a hotel??
