there is always first time for everything! we love long drives.. my husband and i share driving so its not burdensome on one person! take breaks especially if you have kids.. we drove to Montreal when our son was six months and even though it was only 6 hours drive for us..it took us about 8 hours since we pulled over a a lot to take him out of car seat to stretch and all that.. now that he is 18 months old, we entertain him a lot but still take a break every 2-3 hours (for him 7-8 hours is no big deal now :D) its all about practice.. you will have so much fun if you enjoy the journey too.

yes, getting there is half the fun!
