Whether the girl is muslim or not, both should make their expectations from the relationship clear. If she's in it just for fun too, then I guess it doesn't matter. But it is cruel to walk away because she isn't "good enough to take home to mom" when you've made her believe that you have a future together.

Yeah, it is cruel.. but then again I've heard sisters tell their brothers to dump their non-Muslim gfs as well..

Its very very difficult. Sometimes you don't want to walk away but you get forced into the position. Other times you just know its for the best. Either way, the important thing to remember is the world dosen't end.
Sometimes however people are lucky enough to make it work. God bless them :)

Most of us in the west know lots of guys who go out with non-Muslims but comparatively fewer girls who do (for lots of reasons.. the girls don’t usually have as much freedom to stay out late or if they’re ‘able’ to date they might think it’s too much hassle with it being religiously and culturally more controversial)..

Well if i fell in love with her then i will have to make a commitment with her. I mean i chose her to be my girlfriend so i would make a do. For non-muslim i only mean Jew or Christian girl.
