It depends on when you went. They sucked REALLY bad a couple of years ago and then about 2 years ago they got a new chef, new management and introduced chinese halal which was amazing for some time but now their food is average. The chinese is only available on the weekends and now and then when their cook for chinese food shows up.
We ate the chinese. I even have pictures. It was yum. I didn't eat the nihari the guys ordered.
Not many good halal food options. If you like shawarmas, doner kababs, burgers etc., then go to "the kebab shop". It's a hole in the wall kinda place but the food is pretty good.
If you want to get anything fancier then Sufi mediterranean is the best option, it's a persian restaurant but the kababs are reallyyyyyy nice. They also have a slightly cheaper version of that food right next door (balboa international)- same owners.
The desi halal options in sd are very very limited.
Bluebells do you currently live in SD? May be I know you if you were in SD couple of years back as well. Any Qualcomm or Broadcomm connection?
Yep we have been out n about a few times without our son but we have noticed that every time we go out without cuppycake, all we do is talk about him, miss him n try to rush back home ASAP.
We only eave him with my mom..I have been offered by several people in the community who can watch him while we go out but I don't feel comfortable with anyone..n I have a feeling I never will leave him with anyone except our parents.
^ I can relate with the part of not leaving your kid with a non family person. Its not that i don't trust them, but leaving our kids with them so we can go out on a dinner is something that just does not justify itself to me
does catching up for lunch or coffee classify as a date??
I hope so, cus really thats all we sorta do.
We have free movie tickets the landlords gave as a thank you gesture... i REALLY want to use them, but like you and Niksik, I always feel guitly for leaving the munchkin somewhere.
Now that I read this topic, I kinda feel guilty for taking my wife out. I mean we do go out alot but my one year old son would never let us have a decent meal in a restaurant in peace
biwii ko 'date' pe le jaate huye shauhar yeh na kah rahaa ho k:
