My cousin is having her godh bharayi on the 27 of sept. Im in charge of music. I wanted to know if anyone knows of any godh bharayiish songs, other then the obvious Hum aap ke hain kyon song..
any help would be appreciated!

Its become increasingly common only recently in Pakistan. Its been a cultural thing in India and some other Asian countries. Its also a traditional part of the western culture. Although the bridal shower can take place at any given time during a pregnancy, the 6/7 month is considered a good time in most traditions.

well there is one ghod bharai song in kuch kuch hota hai.... it goes something like teri ker di god bharai, phir muj say kiya keahna... or something like that....lol
lol! I think the song you’re talking about is a sad that goes something like “tujhay yaad na meri aai, kissi say ab kya kehna.. dil roya kay akh bhar ai, kissi say ab kiya kehna…”

i think its just another way of wasting money and getting gifts from relatives and family friends. just a way to know what you dont have to buy for the baby!!! I am totally anti this so called rasam!!
