i’m not gonna try sounding complex and philosophical and post fluff. lets clear up some basic ideas.

theory:
the highest level of certainty anything can gain in science. the word “law” is arbitrarily used…and really has a similar meaning.

the scientific method is the only way one can and should try to argue about anything scientific. I really don’t get the argument that the quran is evidence of God’s existence :rotfl: and even funnier is the idea that those who question the existence should have to provide evidence. :rotfl:
Scientists accept that they do not know everything, will probably never know----but we do have mental capabilities that allow us to seek the answers to natural phenomena. and the ignorance and mindless preaching of religious fanatics needs to be called out.

Hitchens is one of the most over-rated writers of our times. He was neither an intellectual nor a great writer. What he was good at was mockery.
I am glad Hitchens is dead. Much like how he supported the Bush wars, as a result of which thousands of children died. I hope those children are laughing at Hitchens somewhere in this universe.

your book is the claim. The burden of proof is on you. so unless allah mia and his "scholars" are represented in the top scientific journals of the world, battling leading astrophysicists like Mr. Neil Degrasse Tyson, they have no merit in the rational world.

Duh. Allah mia's scholars are not astrophysicists. Why should they be battling Neil Degrasse Tyson? He is just a black man. Much like any human being. The only thing special about him is that he was lucky enough to not die, lucky enough to be born with a well-developed brain, and lucky enough to study astrophysics. Other than that, nothing special about him.

The natural question one asks is - if you can say that something is "tuned" then why do you not take the further step to ask "by whom?" .... Something to be tuned infers intelligence doesn't it?
Let me rephrase,Life is a product, a consequence of the universe. This does not in any way suggest that a god is behind it, nor does it suggest that the universe is purposfully "fine-tuned" for life.
Now maybe there is only one way for a universe to be. It's also very possible that had the universe came about with different laws and constants, different life would have evolved. We don’t know!!
Thing is ultimately argument like these lead to an atheist asking a theist if a creator is so essential for everything then who created the creator?
If you really like to explore this argument then by all means read Victor Stenger or Richard Dawkins’s writings. Those are far better read then what I or anyone else write on GS. But if your mind is already made-up then there is no point of this discussion.

If we know of the existence of just one universe which happens to be fine tuned to sustain life then it is just too much of a coincidence. There could have been many possibilities of the values of these universal constants but the ones that we have are those which support life. It is like there is only one person who can buy lottery ticket and the only ticket he buys, turns out to be a winner. This is not possible without some intervention.

Atheists were running chickens. The only possible explanation they came up with is multiverse. But this can never be proven. It is a mere speculation. So the only evidence we have points to intelligent design.

What a petty reply to a fine argument. You have to admit that it was ridiculous to deny intervention while accepting fine-tuned universe at the same time. I called it a fatwa because you simply denied the intervention without offering any other explanation. If this could be denied so easily as you did then there was no reason for atheist scientists to come up with multi verse theory.
May be you are so touchy because you are used to speak out whatever you want and expect everyone to believe in it. Or may be you are getting touchy because the evidence is overwhelming for you to bear.

Adultery is a major crime in Islam ... It destroys the fabric of a noble and pious society. The penalty is more of a deterrent than a punishment. All these emotional reasons for rejecting Deity .... Reason things out, you'll get your answers.

I've been reflecting since my last post and came to the conclusion that it is a pure waste of time to discuss with people who have not read the Holy Qur'an for themselves, but would read any other Novel. I feel insulted by people like Sharabee, Queer etc. who come from the side and mock at me and my belief without getting their facts straight and right.
Unbelievable statement is the one of Queer saying that "anyone who believes in a God does so blindly". Can you see thru me Queer? Thank you for so much respect Queer. You have shown me that a God lives in you who happily promotes genocide.
I say that God exists! You don't believe me? Go and search instead of wasting your time and it get's late! I presented you the evidence. The greatest evidence is the Holy Qur'an. I wonder why we are all so intollerant of others' beliefs? Is your own Iman (and I'm not talking about anyone in particular) so weak that you can't respectfully listen to or tolerate someone questioning your faith?
