God is Not Great

Re: God is Not Great

coming back to the discussion, here the religious people’s take on the above is (Muslim View):

Everything that happens in this world happens with the permission of Allah. If a person harms me, he can only harm me if Allah allows him to. And Allah allows it given the circumstance and physical laws of this universe that He has established. What a person is doing is not dictated or told by Allah to do. It’s person’s own choice to pick a wrong way because he is accountable for his actions and therefore, Allah has given both ways to pick from. However, Allah taught humans and also sent guidance on what is right and what is wrong. A person does not need a messenger or a book to tell him between right and wrong. Messengers and books are there to help him and believing in them guide him to the right path.

So if a person killed me, it was not Allah who told him to kill me. He in fact asked everyone not kill unjustly. However, he allowed that to happen that way because 1) the other person chose to murder 2) my time was up and this was to be made reason for my time. However, because of other person’s choice, he will be punished.
