Okay, some of you may know, as I have said it enough, that I want to get my septum pierced. I have wanted it on and off for about four years but because it is permanent and I have seen pictures of people with their septums pierced and their jewellery taken out and a big hole there, well I don’t want that hole. So it has to be for real if I go for it. This is the only piercing I will really go for, I am not a big fan of others. Since I am procrastinating more, I was looking up pictures and look at this!
I have gotten pierced before but I never bled. All I felt was a rush of dizziness, a delicious feeling that I can’t describe. A heightened awareness, and no pain. The dentist’s chair did not faze me, the needle didn’t, trying desperately to get off my niobium ring with two pliers didn’t. But all this blood!
I do want to get pierced. Help me decide whether I ought to or not. If I go for the piercing, it will be the skinniest jewellery and I think that is 14 guage. I don’t want it out of rebellion, but because I have seen girls in Pakistan with it and I think it is some tribal or caste tradition there. And beuatiful, they do look.
Cows don't have septums, people. And beauty is subjective and since I won't be surrounding myself with people who think I look disgusting with my septum pierced, that's a moot point. Besides, with the right jewellery, hair flowing free, those gypsy women in Lahore could really carry it off. They were working at some construction site, that's what caught my eye first, and then the sun glaring down on their faces, on the gold rings in their septums.

I thought you cover yourself w/ a hijab? And I remember reading some of your posts where you said that as long as you are properly dressed, you don't feel the need to dress yourself up or adorn yourself w/ fancy clothes and jewelry. Almost sounds like someone has hacked your account on GS :D

Personally, I don’t like and would never consider it… but that’s me. What if you don’t like it a few years down the line? There will be a hole right in the middle of your face!
