Actually, you're kinda right, I don't think of what I wear in a pierced body part as jewellery, it's more like part of my face, as much as my eyes or nose. Like a tattoo I guess, I don't see it as "makeup" though technically it is. I guess because as long as you don't retire the piercing, it's permanent and I like seeing something there, it changes my whole face and it requires no effort, no maintenance.
Aisha yeah, that's why I am still sitting on the fence with this after four years of wanting it, I want to be sure because I don't want that hole. I have taken out jewellery before and all that was left was minimal scarring, but this is cartilege and I don't think it will "grow back".

this might sound traditional but here it goes anyway: is your husband ok with it? if you have his support (since he's the one who'll be seeing you 24/7) then that should help you make your decision......

I am pretty traditional, wanting a pierced septum doesn't mean I'll run roughshod over his wishes. Just had to clarify. And yes, my husband is as much okay with it as I am. I wouldn't get it pierced if he thought it ugly.
