After the English tour - the super stars will fly back to Pakistan and play their next series against the mighty West Indies at home. Some of the culprits you named - may not all be dropped and may face the West Indies. They will score runs and take wickets and the English loss will soon be forgotten. People will be back to praising them and making them heroes again.

I typically don't condone bashing players after a poor show, but in this case, we have some repeat offenders who have cost us the series AFTER THE OTHER PLAYERS HAD WORKED HARD ENOUGH TO SALVAGE IT.

After we had England under pressure on the first day of first match, he drops three catches, and that arguably cost us the match right there. Didn't make up with his batting either. Four consecutive outings, more than enough to show what he could do for us, but no results. Even worse than Salman Butt, because he doesn't have problems with a particular shot, rather, lacks the ability to apply himself and be patient. Not made for tests. Bye Bye.

Drive-happy as$hole. He wasn't so suspect at driving, God knows what happened to him in the past 6 months. I was one of his biggest supporter, that he should be given a chance to 'regain' his confidence. But he really has picked up a penchant for driving away from his body from Yasir Hameed. Fk him. Come back when you no longer drive to covers, AT ALL! Learn a copule other scoring shots and reapply, or don't.
Kamran Akmal:

His batting form could be attributed to his averages getting normalized. But his primary job is to keep the wickets. Perhaps he's not 100% fit and has been hiding it for fear of losing his position in the team. He shares the blame with our openers for costing us the series, but since this is a rare showing, we need to stick with him. We have seen him play better than this, so hopefully this is just a bad tour.

The difference between a proper batsman and a tailender (or an all-rounder) is that he doesn't get out on the very first ball too often. AT least not in consecutive matches. And especially not when we have brought you in at the cost of a great all rounder and match saver (Razzaq). The difference between the loss of ONE wicket and a collapse is someone getting out on the very first ball. THAT IS YOU FAISAL IQBAL. We didnt ask for a century, we asked for you to not get out on the first ball. How difficult is that? danish can handle it!

**This coach and captain showed great conficence in him by bringing him back into the team a year and a half ago, and ALLOWING him to bat his own way, thus improving his performances. But batting his own way didn't mean that he has the license to try to hit every ball for six without caring fo rmatch situations. His three innings in the first two matches WERE VISIBLY SELFISH and CAREFREE. It was like Afridi 1997 dejavu again. He had the potential to be our Kevin Pieterson, be a PROPER late order batsman. Save us games, and he has cost us not only a copule of matches, but ALSO A GREAT POTENTIAL BATSMAN. So selfish!
Taufeeq Umer:

I think only Akmal should be spared from the aftermath. He was trying really hard and was genuinely heartbroken whenever he dropped a chance. Also, lets not forget that having to open would hardly have done his form any good. At least he has past match winning performances to his credit, he is allowed the one off series.
However, the same can hardly be said for the other usual suspects, they have shown no improvement whatsoever. Quite a few of them should be sent packing for another round on the domestic scene.

Yes - Akmal can be spared and he will no doubt play agains the West Indies at home to get his confidence. Pakistan then will play away against South Africa and no doubt won't be easy tour and see if he has learnt from his mistakes.

I agree with sparing Akmal, he is good and has capability to make a comeback. Butt really needs a kick, could be for short time though.
I didn't expect anything from Farhat and Taufeeq to begin with, so I am not "disappointed". Faisal was dud, but still needs time/chance.
What I would like for the next game is:
Axe Butt, Taufeeq, Sami
Play Younis and Hafeez as opener. I hope Asif/Akhtar is fit enough for next game otherwise play Samiullah or bring in the U-19 bowlers. But that would be too much to ask of PCB/empty-tank.
