whoa Sara - atheists deserve respect because they are people, you do not have to interact with them if you wish not to, but respect is something that all deserve unless they prove by deed or by something they say they don’t deserve it. Personal belief is not a reason to withhold respect.

Its not a personal belief by any means. Its a serious issue, especially when they start preaching the wrong stuff and start corrupting the society. Look back at the the 20th Century and see for yourself, from Lenin to Satanism, all the evil that rose out of athiesm.
