This is something to be ashamed of not proud of. ISI was providing a muslim paki woman for his pleasure to spy on them. It is the most lowest thing for country who claim to be muslim and created in the name of Islam. And you people are so proud of this. This tells us how different we are and how evil and hypocrate our government is. For me as a Pashtun, I am very ashamed and insulted.

No one is providing anyone! She is spy, her job is infiltrate in whatever way possible, and thats what she did, its all part of the proffesion… This is how its done..

My Punjabi/Mohajir friends take pride in the fact that they are open minded and don’t have a problem with their sisters dating. Just yesterday a Mirpuri friend of mine was asking me if I wanted a chick, he said his cousin was interested in me. I mean come on..?

Not all are like this but a fair bit of them are and they mock anyone who doesn’t subscribe to their lifestyle as uneducated and backward, and they pridefully boast of their forwardthinking ways to Indians and Westerners.

So if they look down on you as being uneducated and backwards, arent you doing the same to them? I mean, they dont respect you, and you obviously dont have any respect for them, so how are you any different… Whats it to you if some people arent as conservative as you?

Firstly, if you don’t know much about ISI, then don’t make fun outta your limited knowledge. Still Afghanistan is ruled by ISI (don’t want to go deeper, because probably not a appropriate place to talk about)

If you read about any intelligence services in the world, their job is to come up with strategies, implement them, if things go wrong get out of there, check CIA’s history, you can go back to Korean war, and start counting…

As per ISI, try to do some research first, read abt them and then Talk.

Sure they have their contacts and plans to send the ‘next Taliban’ after US leave, but at this moment 3/4 of Afghanistan is not even safe for a Pakistani to go to, and is controlled by long extablished Pak enemies like Dostum. osma will never be found - US will need Pakistan hence the benefits. Pakistan was n trouble when they left so many jihadis next door after russian left Afghanistan.
to keep US busy may be ISI agenda? only during this time - they will accept mushy on the seat without any question about democracy along with army aid if required etc etc.

overall after 9/11 pakistan is playing card well, though it could have been played better.

but surely ISI doesnt control the world. their reach is dominently but not limited deep into Indian areas and officials.

as any other Pakistani, guys in ISI would also be tempted and would grab whatever they can while they can financially.

about this honey trap... I also agree with Malakand bro here, is it worth using a Pakistani female to varry out such activity.? Pakistan is not state of war with britain nor under threat of any attack. Pakistan is not fighting a war of survival that we have to put our women on these ventures, so its act of shame not of being proud of it.

professionaly ISI is doing good job, if they are not always busy in tracking "jahil politicians" and focus on real stuff. these days they are so busy in safegurading ARMY government and its share in pakistan economy.

You probably are not aware of this that in Pashtun culture Muslim and Pashtun are
synonymous and these terms are interchangeable.

I have heard lot of Pashtuns bragging about this, but actually this is not true.
There are many things inherent in Pashtun culture that are unislamic, like protecting killers just coz they belong to one’s own tribe. Killing brother/father/son of the murderer if murderer is at large. Giving away girls as compensation for murder. Lending money on interest…To name a few

Granted they have some exceptional qualities, like honor courage, but they are involved in alot of stuff that would be deemed Unislamic, just like other ethnicities in Pakistan (including the ones in other provinces are involved in). Even this whole gloating becomes Unislamic, remember the Prophet's thoughts about no Arab having any superiority over any non-arab, and vice versa. So let go of this feeling that makes you think just because youre a pashtun makes you a better Muslim. If you have a problem with the Punjabis or Sindhis converting from other religions, alot of the best Muslims (even during the Prophet's time) were at one time worshipping idols too.

I see no reason to bring this Pashtun/Punjabi debate in this thread.

I don’t know what you guys trying to start, I never said that Pashtuns are perferct muslims, our culture contains lots of good and bad things in addition to islamic values. What I said was that the terms Pashtun and muslim are interchangable in our daily conversation. Is that clear?
