Re: God, a proven fact or a mere fiction?
Dear Beeb, you have the proof from God but whether you are learned enough to see it for yourself is another matter. All we can do is help each other learn things and when some one becomes sufficiently educated then penny drops all by itself.
Proof is nothing other than a proper explanation about something ie in this case purpose of life, its origin and the way things ought to work.
So all we can do is examine what we are told and if the explanation explains things without problems then we have no choice but to accept it genuine. So best thing we can do is read the message and see how it makes sense and whether we ourselves are up to standard to know that or not.
As I understand the quran, it talks about a closed loop universe where in we the humans are supposed to learn through interactions with things within the universe and keep adjusting ourselves toward the proper goal with reference to divine revelation. To me it makes perfect sense so I am sharing it and I have not heard so far anything better.
I am arguing not only on basis of reason alone but also attaching the concept of revelation with it and if we take both together then that solves the problem provided we make sense of the revelation properly.
The reason the problems occurred is because some of us tried to pervert and subvert the divine message. If the scriptures were not turned senseless through misinterpretations and misrepresentations then we would never have had any problems but that is the way life is so all we can do is make the best we can rather than make the worst we can. One leads to better end and the other worse end. So it should not be that difficult to choose which way we ought to go for the good of our own selves.
