Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

Sweetpip making ubtan at home is pretty tuff..there are close to 101 ingredients that go in! But a make-do ubtan u can make at home is:

1 cup besan
1/4 cup milk powder
1/2 cup cinnamon
4 tblsps wild turmeric
1/2 almond powder.

Mix the above with either almond oil or olive oil..rosewater..

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

gina i don't remember if i asked you this but how much does moon charge for bridal makeup?
ps you do bridal makeup? but only in dubai right?

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

none of this stuff works

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

Pakifairy, I have gotten tons of private msg'es thanking me..and ALL of these home remedies work..u just need to be consistent. Moon charges 22,000 bisoux...and yes I handle the makeup in Dubai. If a bride requires I do travel to Pak as well.

Hi Gina,

This is a really interesting thread. I'll make sure i cipy and paste all of your recommendations into a word document so i always have it.

I know you've already put up something with regards to acne (honey & Cinamon) but I wanted to ask for my mom. She gets loads of whiteheads and red spots on her face. We've tried loads of creams and stuff but nothings worked. Is there anything you suggest for her?

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

Pakifairy the girls on the boards will vouch for the treatments and they work. If u prefer the dermatologist and chemicals feel free to use them. But let others try for themselves.

Ugly Sem, you could try besan and yoghurt in equal quantities..and cucumber & aloe vera gel.

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

what's utban??

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

has anyone tried the sandlewood and haldi mixture for scars? where can you find "sandlewood" paste in the US? Is it the same thing as multhani mitti?

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

Nabz, I have made red sandalwood and wild turmeric my weekly regimen and it works Alhamdulilah. Multani mitti is fullers-earth so not the same =)

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

how about drinkin Safi - lol

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

isn't sandlewood paste called chandan in most desi stores.

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

i remember in this local beauty parlour i went to in samnabad there ws this one really stuck girls working there who really thort a lot of herself. wt i noticed was that her face was really white yet her hand , feet and neck were black like really quite dark.

my khala explained that they keep multani mitti on their face for long periods of time. js thort dt was weird saw a lot of girls there like that

sorry maybe offtopic js wnted to share

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

What's Multani Mitthi?

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

maybe she was wearing foundation :aq:

Multani Mitti doesnt make you gora, it is good to use in summer as an exfoliant and it also cools the body down.

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

Hi Gina, I am getting married in Qatar in June,,, I am not too sure about the bridal make up artists in Qatar. Could you please suggest a really really good makeup artist from Dubai that could travel to Qatar to do my makeup, who also doesnt require too much money for the travelling???? I would appreciate it if you could pleaseeeeeeeeee reply back,,,,

thanks!

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

thanks guys :)

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

Mizzrani the problem on that girl was that she used a mixture of the same creams that I've warned everyone against..parlours in Pak claim to make to fair and bring abt a even skin-tone using a combo of fair & lovely, retin a, stillman's, archie's etc..

Multani Mitti is fullers earth and has no side effects...

Chandan is sandal paste...Im talking abt red sandalwood powder that u can get from any Indian store =)

Neelum everyone in Dubai is expensive =) if u want sumone to travel that wud be 2,000 dhs for makeup (per day) air ticket, food and accomodation.

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

Hi Gina thanks for the reply,,,

I was thinking of going to Dubai to do my make up from Qatar (Doha),, would that be a bad idea?... I've heard that its only 1 hour away??
Do you think I should consider that?

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~
