Gina, what do you recommend to use for exfoliating the face
(from either natural nuska or store bought products)
THANKS!!!!!!!!!!

Clinique 7 day scrub-off cream

Orange juice and brown sugar (I love!)

St. Ives apricot and walnut scrub (use the one for sensitive skin if u have sensitive skin)

Almond skin powder and powdered milk is great too

Hi there Gina, man, mashallah u seem to the expert here. I have a question for you.

Its regarding hubby. Hmm...well he has got 3/4 black botches on his facial skin. We have tried shop bought scrubs, the special plasters stuff but nothing has worked. He claims it was a spot before and thats how the black mark has appeared! Its under the skin and is visible. I keep thinking maybe i should grab a pin and pick it and new skin will cover it but maybe not!

Any ideas please? Thanks!

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

Thanks Gina!
The one by Clinique and St Ives, arent those daily use scrubs? Should you exfoliate daily or only like 2-3 times a week?
Also, what are the quanities for the orange juice and brown sugar

Sunset Eyes, not much can be done about it if it's under the skin unfortunately, but u shud really have it checked out :) now, if it's over the skin dark patchy skin then red sandalwood, cinnamon powder, haldi and lemon juice work wonders!

Midnite use a scrub 3 times a week, after steaming u're face or during a warm shower (dont steam if u have large pores) after washing the scrub off, use an alcohol-free toner :) 2 tablespoons orange juice and 1 tablespoon brown sugar.

Gina how is tea tree oil for acne n scars? I hv heard it works.
N if its good shud we use it in pure form or diluted? How is the Body Shop tea tree oil i.e. 15% diluted?

Tea tree oil is great for existing acne and pimples.. and not for scars rosehip oil is used for treating acne scars :)

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

Thx Gina. But pure or diluted tea tree oil?

The one u get at The Body Shop is perfect, u don't need to dilute it any furthur.. it's more effective when it's not diluted.. but start-off with the diluted version incase u're skin's senstive.

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

does threadin/plucking on face (sides, overlip, eyebrows, chin etc) make the skin "hangy"/loose?
Im sixteen, have combination skin type, nd if i do threading every 3,4 days, will my skin get loose soon? or does it take more time? thnx

U're threading too often for a 16yr old.. u shud be threading once every 2 weeks.. threading is safer than waxing/sugaring on u're face :)

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

hmm.. but i have to, it grows quite fast :bummer:

Get u're hormones checked :) thyroid function

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

I just discovered an amazing skin care range which is free from chemicals and is made from all natural ingredients - Liz earle range, it's awesome......really makes your skin soft and smooth!
Has anyone else tried it?

Also I swear by MD formulations glycolic cleanser, its awesome and makes your skin so uber shiny afterwards, takes away spots and peels away dead skin and stuff...i have used it for about 10 months and its amazing stuff....

Can you buy MD Formulations glycolic cleanser from Boots?

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

Nope, lots of beauty parlours do it house of fraser and John lewis do stock MD formulations, but they are pretty awesome!
