~ Glowing Brides ~

Once u get u're threading done, apply a toner to close the pores. For the marks apply the red sandalwood paste I've mentioned here plenty of times.

For dark knuckles take a tablespoon of orange peel powder, cane sugar, oat powder and mix it with yoghurt. Leave on for 15 mins and wash-off. Massage u're hands with olive oil to which a tsp of lime juice has been added.

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

everytime i go for threading.. the girl approaches me with a cheap brand lotion on her hands to massage the skin that she just threaded... and i just have to jump and tell them that i have sensitive skin... and cant use anything on the face..

^ Keep a tube of aloe vera gel in u're bag and apply that..soothes and calms the skin.

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

Gina, thanks to all the info that you have been sharing. I want to know the best way to use ubtan and the do's and dont's regarding that. Can one use ubtan every night and go out in the sun the next day? I have heard that it darkens the skin instead of lightening it.

Do you know about hair fragrance? I found a parlour that does it her in Karachi but would the fragrance withstand the styling/hair spray/conditioning? Should I have it done a week before the wedding or closer? Thanks in advance.

my cousin is used to rub lemon on her face and she does this daily...while watching tv...just rubbing and rubbing..and her skin colour is just like maida...

Basic ubtan which is besan, haldi, rose petals, orange peel powder, cinnamon, almond powder, almond skin powder, cucumber peel powder, gaisu flowers, multani mitti and 101 other things.

Can be mixed with rosewater or orange juice (for oily skin)
Can be mixed with olive oil (body) and milk cream (face)

Ubtan shud be applied 3 times a week.. and always apply it to u're neck and the back of u're neck as well. It shud be left on for 20 mins and washed-off in a circlular scrubbing motion. Apply a good moisturizer after ubtan. No, it wont darken u're skin but do apply a really high spf sunscreen before going out.

Hair scenting is actually adpated from "oud" chambers in Morocco and it's basically a wick basket over burning oud or sandalwood.. the smell stays for 2 washes and personally I dont like the strong smell of it.

gina i once waxed the sides of my face and got big red bumps...so which mask should i go for..i am what kind of cooling mask is okay for my skin..as its oily and somewhat acne prone..

An aloe/cucumber mask is great and so is a clay mask. Don't use anything ith alcohol, that will irritate u're skin furthur.

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

gina i have a major problem!

my skin is like ULTRA sensative. i have hair on my face. ie. sides and cheeks. bt weneva i get it waxed or treaded i have an outbreak.

the day i get it dne its fine bt by the next mrning i get milions of small white puss filed spots and by the next day they turn into big red spots which take abot 2 months to go away by which time my facial hair has grow quite a bit.

the same thing happens wen i get my eyebrows and upperlip dne however then they dnt turn into the big red spots.

i have tried so many different things. cn u suggest anything. how to get rid of them spots and how to remove my facial hair without suffering from a outbreak for the next 2 months.

thanks

I remember reading a little while ago in an article....it said something like spraying perfume lightly on your brush and running it through you hair, it supposed to leave your hair smelling nice

What can I use to get rid of White Heads on my nose?

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

^if you want your hair to be fragrant, why not just use a fragrant shampoo!

I have that problem however mine has gone down quite a bit in the past few weeks. Have you ever thought of getting laser hair removal? Its a bit pricey but its a permanent solution. What about plucking?

Usually the hair on the face is really fine..which doesnt respond well to laser. If threading/waxing leave ure skin aggravated then perhaps u shud stick to a mild bleach only =)

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

i guess bleach it is den! plucking doesnt cause any reaction psquared bt it hard to pluck ur sides :D

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~
