I grew up in states. My skin complexion is dark and I am married into a typical Lahore family where my mother in law as craze for a lighter skin girls. Over time she has made me feel very uncomfortable about myself. I use to be very confident and now all I do is obsess about my skin color.
I am wondering if I can use tomato and lemon juice for my face, arm and feet to get it little lighter. Should I use this everyday? I am going to Pakistan in March 2009 and will be meeting my very light skin beautiful (according to my mother in law) sister in laws for the very first time. I don't know what girls are using in Pakistan and how they keep them self looking so beautiful if anyone knows please do let me know.
I married my husband in states without my mother in law meeting me and I know that she has made my husband realize that I am not as beautiful as my other sister in laws and he deserved someone better them me. I have become very depressed over time about this and don't know how to ignore her comments and not get effected by it.
Pale treated skin is not beautiful. Skin that is healthy glows. Don't change your skin tone trying to achieve some narrow-minded view of beauty. Just take care of your skin. Your husband must be attracted to your natural tone. Perhaps it's best to talk to him?
