I like my glasses and wear them for work, studies etc but sometimes for events i like to wear contacts. Contacts do have risks that glasses do not so you have to weigh it up.
How many people here have contacts? How often do you wear them? Does anyone else have couple of different coloured contacts depending on clothes? Sometimes i like to wear different shades of brown contact lenses. Maybe even a slightly later shade. I realise wearing lighter coloured contacts is a bit unusual but i don’t do it that often.
I do think guys and girls look great in glasses. Do you have any preferences when it comes to glasses..metal, plastic etc or rimless? Rimless looks good but makes me feel naked.
And for sunglasses..does anyone have any fav brands. I like Ray ban.
i used to wear contacts every day for school and outings, and wore glasses at home. after 4 yrs of wearing lenses, i got a bad infection (apparently due to hygiene sigh) and had to be hospitalized. diagnosis was corneal ulcer.
now i just wear glasses for functions and when i go out with friends. hardly wear it to college. also because i get lazy to wear it to college now.
i dont like glasses as i think i look bad in them :( ive had rimless ones, theyre nice but no more in fashion. get those black thick frame cool nerd glasses. theyre quite in. ray ban has them too i think.
i suggest you use monthly lenses and clean em well! dailies are best but costly so i stick to monthly ones :)

My glasses are so lightweight but I still feel them sitting on the bridge of my nose and I hate it. I wear sunglasses if I cannot drive and one my favorites right now are Pradas. I have a copper colored pair that I simply adore.
I think it all depends on how you look or what you think you look better in because some people look better in glasses and some people look better without them that's my opinion!
That must have been painful. I’ve been warned about that. Luckily nothing has happened yet thought i have got red, itchy eyes.

I need glasses or i feel like im going to trip. I have no choice at time. Think i've got used to the weight. Prada looks great..i also like versace. I am partial to dark coloured frames as well.

I wanna switch to contacts, have yet to try them though. I have slight astigmatism, so will have to get torics. I haven't read great reviews, but I can't know if they're gonna work out for me or not unless I try them.
i cant do contacts. Too much of hassle and they never sit right in my eyes. I wear glasses. I personally think that if you buy the right frame, they make you look better sometimes.
I have been wearing clear contact lenses since the age of 16. I usually wear them around 4-5 days a week and I have never had any complications, Alhamdulillah. As long as you look after your lenses (handle them with care, in sterile conditions), they are pretty safe and easy to use.
I tend to wear my glasses at home only i.e. on evenings after work or on a lazy weekend. I personally prefer black plastic frames as they suit me better...Ray Ban do some great frames.
If you have the right frame for your face, glasses look absolutely amazing. It works as an accessory and adds to the personality for some people. But just like contacts, they don't always feel comfortable on the eyes - a massive downside of having bad eyesight. :(
I wear contacts on a daily basis while going to university. I don’t buy coloured contacts because I think it’s a waste of money. I wear glasses on the days of the exams or if I’ve done an all-nighter because then my eyes are all puffy and weird.
I wear glasses and contacts both. Never did coloured contacts though. If I do, it would be blood red lenses and I will walk around pretending to be a zombie. As far a sunglasses go, all major designer brands are really either owned by luxottica or Safilo.
I rotate between several sunglasses, different brands, shapes and colours. Tortoise shell ambers, black wayfarers, etc. My usual one is an Oakley square wire Ducati which is great for driving
