Giving up bread will make you FAT

Regarding your comment, “Gluten diet in celiac disease may lead to bloating (gas), diarrhea, malabsorption with fatty stools and growth retardation, anemia, fatigue, weak bones etc .”

That sounds like some pretty serious stuff. I would not want to have chronically inflamed intestines, that cannot absorb vitamins, fats, proteins and minerals and leads to mental and phyiscal retardation, fatigue, neuropathy, increased risk of intestinal cancers etc.

In contrast you seem to be suggesting that without wheat in our diet we might inhibit the growth of certain essential bacteria in the intestines that cannot grow in people on gluten free diets. This is the first I have heard of such a thing. Please provide a link.
