Yeah I also agree with people getting all the benefits when t hey don’t deserve it.
But in my friend’s case the husband actually lives here, works here, pay taxes here but because he is on GC his wife can’t come here until of course he becomes a citizen. The wife did get the visitor’s visa. He can’t leave his job here to go see his baby’s birth in some other country. Like I said he is legally living here, paying taxes and all.

Its great the the husband lives and works here…but does he have the money to pay for the baby’s birth? Did he add his wife to his own health insurance plan?

Just b/c the wife got a “visitor’s visa”…and just b/c the husband can’t go back home to watch the baby’s birth…that doesn’t justify the wife giving birth here on the taxpayer’s dollars. It’s fine that you’re trying to help your friend out…and yes, she can get away with giving birth here. But please don’t try to justify that its “ok” for her to use social services here that’re paid for taxpayers and meant for people who truly “need” them (not people who want to use them just b/c the husband wants to see the birth).
