I bought the new Blackberry Torch. Got two phones free. Got a 19 inch LED screen for my desktop. Got some more things. It's lovely. I am in university right now, maybe when I get home. One day is enough to see the whole thing, more than one day if you are planning on visit the GITEX shopper as well.

I was working in the same company before which organizes it.... used to get 4 to 5 entry pass free booklets :D with 50 passes each

no they are not... usually there are 1000 exhibitors .... this year there are 1500 exhibitors and lot more keynote speakers etc..... jeez

there are two different venue, the conferences/ summits and technology week etc are being held at DWTC, which is i think around a good 8-10 KMs from where you are staying.
Gitext shoppers is comparatively closer, its in Dubai Airport Expo, not more than 8-10 min drive if you don't get stuck anywhere

^ old passport entry for Pakistani citizens was allowed for few more months as far as i know. I think a week ago there was a news when Rehman Malik visited the UAE.
but before you travel, do confirm it with the consulate/ embassy in KSA or the UAE
