I dont think theres anything wrong with girls wearing jeans as long as they are covered properly. we shld be more worried abt girls wearing chooti chooti shalwars and sleeveless shirts.

Shalwar Kamiz is just Pakistani tradition it has nothing to do with ISLAM. If just wearing Shalwar Kamiz makes one Muslim so I think Arabs, Blacks and whites(COVERING THEIR WHOLE BODIES WEARING PANTS AND T.SHIRTS,SKIRTS,TANORAH'S,MAXIES AND HAIR WEARING SCARFS AND SHAWALS) through out the world believing in Allah and Muhammad(SAW) are not Muslims at all because Shalwar kamiz makes a woman Muslim(according to Pakistani approach). ONLY GIRLS WEARING SEE THROUGH KNEE HIGH SHALWARS AND MICRO SHIRTS WITH CLEAVAGE LOW NECKS, SHOWING OFF THEIR BODY CURVES,NAKED HAIR ARE NOMINATED TO BE MUSLIMS..... HUNH! WHAT A BEGNNING OF NEW ERA OF ISLAM!
Why do people always criticise other. It one's own concern what she wears or not. can you stop ne one from eating what one likes? how can you ask people to act as you like? if some one is modest or immodest,noble or evil it is his and his Allah's matter people are none to intrude in.. hunh! it depends on one's own discertion to act or behave in a manner one gives reputation to. first of all we all must look for what we are! lemme quote here"those who criticise other are actually weakest inside." If girls,those who are forbidden to wear JEANS and keep criticising others get even a chance to wera Jean they 'll surely carry it in the worst way like they,frustrated ones, carrying SHALWAR KAMEEZ nowadays.

tradition, what tradition? people now a days make their own tradition and follow them.... it's more of a fashion then anything esle around in pakistan these days.

nothing wrong with wearing jeans, but i too was surprised to see my cousin-by-marriage's clothes when she came from pakistan. she was apparently brought up in a very conservative family, but her kamiz's necklines are always so low, and when she sits down, u can see half her lower leg. her tops are also very very tight, but according my khala, as long as it's 'shalwar kamiz', it's modest. jeans on the other hand are immodest, even if they cover u better than the shalwar kamiz does!

i don't like wearing jeans in pakistan..i got starred at like i was an alien in lahore at fortress stadium and places like that. course there were other girls wearing them too..but i've heared ppl in karachi r more tolerant of this.

perhaps thats because pakistan is a muslim country and jeans don't really follow the islamic code..they're tight and much more revealing..and anyways no matter where u live ppl always care abt how u dress/look etc. so in pakistan wearing jeans is a sign of showing liberty and for some liberty means destrcution of islam. and also becuz majority of pakistanis still believe jeans arent appropriate for young girls.

and anywas im not saying that they SHOULDN'T wear jeans just saying WHY they get talked about. and yess wearing a shalwar kameez and not covering ur head is more acceptable then wearing jeans and not covering ur head. i wear jeans myself. and anyways shalwar kameez isn't even an islamic dress...it just kinda derived from other clothes to develop a covered and acceptable form of clothing for muslim women in pakistan and india.
and yess i know sometimes shalwar kameez is just as bad as jeans..but then again...those girls get talked abt as well.
and women have been wearing shalwar kameez w/o covering their head for like ever..but the jeans is a new concept.
i was jst explaining why they are a big deal.

im talking in general no matter wat pakistani ppl think bout shalwar kameez
that its modest or watever but still those who dont wear tight shalwar kameez it still reveals
any clothing reveals ur body unless they r not very very loose
so if they think shalwar kameez is modest they r wrong
