i don't believe anything is "supposed" to do something. everyone's different, everyone has different taste. none of the girls i know like long beards, but some might. i know long beards don't attract me AT ALL.

No i wouldent. Long beards dont attract me at all and i dont like them one bit. Its a big turn off for me .I prefer clean shave.:@:

One of my cousin in Pakistan (25 years old then) took a 360 degree turn after almost 1 year of getting marriage. He was a party freak (drummer himself) so he used to go to parties, sings, play drums etc and within 1 month out of blue moon he Mashallah turned to practicing Islam. Jeans and T-shirts were replaced by modest Shilwar Qameez and clean shaved face grown almost a foot long beard. Its been 10 years now he is mshallah sticking to his change. Bhabi initially had some difficulties in getting along. Bhabi's father even went to the extent saying "yee tu sahee baat nahee hai, hum nai tu WO waley XXXX ko apnee baitee dee thee" but there was nothing much he could do as changes were for Good and not for bad. bhabi took some time but slowly and gradually she blended into his way of life and both are mashallah very happy.
So, anyone of you been through this? what if your hubby grows a footlong beard? will you have objection to this? How will you deal with it?

having a foot long beard isn't mandatory, it's sunnat. he can become more religious, that's a good thing, but the beard doesn't have to be THAT long.

:) ... Junaid never played drum at least not in public ...did he? .... but my cousin (just like rest of the youth) was impressed with vital signs when he used to play drum but Alhamdullilah he turned to practice Islam before JJ ....

lol. actually a similar question was put in front of me by my mother and after a day consideration i told her that even though i dont like beard much, but if my potential hubby considered of having one than what can i do with it...absolutely nothing!
so its pointless to reject rishta on beard.

i wouldnt reject a rishta coz of a beard id just be intimidated by it lol If the guy decides he wants a beard after were married then id be fine with it and just do his head in about it being neat! i hate unkempt beards it makes guys look homeless!! and ive always wanted to try straightening a beard too

Can a beard be straightened out with one of those hair straightening irons that girls use? I guess it can be but it would be hard to operate on a beard.
