For the first time, I think I really understand how come conspiracy theories are so well received by the Muslim street. The Prophet (pbuh) once pointed out that back in the days before Judaism became corrupted, when the Jews were Righteous people, there was a group amongst them who disobeyed God, broke the Sabbath and went fishing. He stated that God punished that group by turning them into animals.
Between then (some time between 2000 and 3500 years ago, I guess) and now, however, there have been no documented cases of God choosing to repeat the act. I’d therefore be sceptical of any reports that its happened again, until they could be verified. It is such an immensely uncommon occurence that I would be deeply suspicious.
