Friends can be men and women.. I find that women somehow men are better at listening and keeping secrets.. while women talk, they get jealous and cause trouble. Platonic friendship does exist where u can go shopping/watch movies.. and still not be smitted by each other.
I don't know much about the rest but my brother knows about my male friends and so does my mother :) so it's different for all of us.
