I was just wondering If you wear tampon are you still virgin? cause some of my firends use tampon thinking that it wouldn’t do anything… … 
So now they are all kinda worried lolz… So I really wanna know…

i have heard many people and also read the stuff that the tampon company (tampax i think) which said that basically what is called a virgin is when you still have your hymen, which is like this....skin...for the lack of the proper word, intact. it is usually ruptured during intercourse, or if you do hard labour or intensive excersice. the tampon is short enough that it doesn't reach the hymen, therefore it doesn't harm it.

I've always been under the impression that virginity lasts till you have sex; thus hymen is irrelevent.

Hi, The hymen is just a thin piece of skin like a covering and the others are right, a tampon wont break this skin. Some vigorous sports especially horseback riding, can cause this skin to tear just as it tears during first intercourse. This causes a little bit of bleeding which is the "proof" of virginity. So if it breaks during horseback riding, the girl is still a virgin but now has no way to prove it. When virginity is important to a man, he looks for the little bit of blood caused by the tearing.

I think if you're married the husband has to trust you why a women
has to prove her self that she is still virgin?
And it is not neccasary that a women bleed if she sleep with her

Instead of propogating nonsense, why isn't the real issue addressed here? Virginity can NOT be proven. A girl can damage her hymen during sports and is still a virgin, on the other hand, a girl can have anal sex, not damage her hymen and still be considered a virgin. This obsession with proving virginity in our culture is a cheap and ignorant act and instead of propogating it, we should change the mentality of the people who demand proof of virginity.
Secondly, when you're marrying someone, trust is one of the most important aspects in a future spouse and if you don't even trust your spouse if she tells you that she is/isn't a virgin, then why bother marrying her?

Like many people said, Virginity is determined by wheter you've had vaginal sex or not. People who try to show their ignorance by saying since you have no hymen, you are not a virgin, are idiots. Tempons should be fine and they won't break the hymen. However, sports, horseback riding, hard labor, excercise can tear the hymen.
