Its a known fact, plus I have seen enough examples in real life.
This thing is not about girls only, boys when raised with out mothers, get attached to older/strong, authoritative women too.
Boys raised with out father build bonds with older males(nothing sexual).
Its a normal thing thing under not-so-normal circumstances.
