Ok so we pretty much know how some guys can be creeps and just randomly msg girls and/or add them on FB…we’ve all had at least 1 type of message like that
but what is the general perception if a girl adds a guy? or if a girl adds another girl? no creepy message no shady profile…esp girls, do u ever feel awkward adding another girl or when another girl adds u just to be friends?

To be honest I reject all friend requests unless I have met them in person, even then I don't always accept. Might be a bit 'moody' but I don't really like people knowing all of my business unless I am very close to them. I must 'know' around 300 people but my facebook only has about 45 friends, I'm very strict.

^ Same here. To begin with my FB is pretty dead anyway. But yeah I'd feel awkward if a girl added me randomly.
I only add people who I've met and know pretty well, not people who I might have met once in my lifetime and will never see them.

wow.....thtz good......usually ppl have 300 fb frndz......and they really knw abt like 50-60 ppl......haha....i dont get it than y dont u add them.....bcoz u knw them all right...?

i find it weird if someone wants to add me taht doesnt know me.. male or female.. male you can easily just use desi mentality and say oh he wants to get in my panties…
but what excuse does a female sending another female a friend request, have .. hain… cant possibly be the same

What if they have several mutual friends?
I've been added a few times and we had mutual friends...and I ended up actually becoming friends with some of them...so I dont think its that odd.

My friends list comprises of only the people I actually know in person. Then I keep my privacy settings different for different friends depending on how close we are. So yes it definitely feels awkward. I feel a tinge bad when rejecting these requests but it's a rule I follow strictly.

i actually know a few girls (i seem to know the strangest people:) ) who added guys they NEVER KNEW on fb and ended up MARRIED to them!!

I add them right away. Then I check out her profile, her pictures, her albums and then I decide whether she stays on my list. :)

A friend of mine would do that out of desperation to meet guys, and one of the guys she added mentioned it to her sister at a lunch meeting, which created a fiasco.

It's always better to meet people in person and then ask them, if they do facebook to keep in touch. If they say they rarely check it or make some excuse, then don't bother adding them. They're not interested in being friends.

Sometimes u can just see u have a lot in common with them.. I’ve accepted quite a few from ‘random’ girls, mostly they’re ppl I have seen around but not yet spoken to..

I accept everyone, but keep a tiered privacy system, so the less I know you, the less of my profile you can see.

I don't know why but guys and girls from arab countries ALWAYS add me and say things in arabic.

I avoid adding them if I don't know them at all. I might add them if we have many mutual friends and there name sounds familiar.

Male or female i don't add ppl unless I have met or spoken to him/her before because I only have one account on facebook and it has my whole life(facebook) posted on it!!
