Im pashtun, my 2 older brothers are married to Panjabis and my yougest sister is married into a panjabi family. We are stronger because of it and it has made us into stronger, prouder Pakistanis. We have footholds in both provinces as well as in Karachi. U guys are going at this in a wrong and if I may say so, unconstructive way. Look towards the larger context of Islam and Pakistan.

Absolutely true. We're Punjabis (funny I never found that out till I was 13 or 14) but my brother married a Pathan and my sister is married to a Karachiite. It's actually made our whole living experience a lot more culturally rich and yeah, this is really the spirit of Pak. And I believe most marriages in the urban areas are like this, and I can dfinitely say that because most of my cousins are married to people from all over Pakistan and indeed all over the world :) It just diversifies the gene pool and that's always a plus. Those dwelling in their caste, clans and ethnicities need to go back to stone age.

Ah gilahi all pashtuns/pakhtuns are afghans, just half of them are ctizens of Afghanistan and the other half are citizens of Pakistan. Other than that you all can carry on with this hatefest, kind of defeats the purpose of the thread huh?

za am pukhtun yam, aw zama watan pakistan day zargeya. technically speaking then, there are more afghans(pushtuns/pukhtuns + Afghan mohajireen) in Pakistan then in all of afghanistan then :)) dera la! what an interesting fact that i didnt know 'bout Pakistan.:))
as far as womens rights are concerned, the answer is education, education and education; so it will take time but we women will overcome!!.
