The situation of the country is getting worse by the day, the situation of FATA/KP, Balochistan and Karachi was already far from normal. Add the sectarian clashes in Gilgit to the list. I dont know where the country is heading to. Curfew has been imposed and army called in Gilgit.
At least seven people were killed and 48 were injured as the situation turned violent in Gilgit.
According to the reports, police had arrested some people allegedly involved in firing on a rally and situation turned violent when they were not released. The enraged mob blocked the road and burnt tyres.
A large number of police and security forces arrived at the scene while people injured in different firing incidents were shifted to hospitals.
On the other hand, residents of the city have confined to their homes due to violent incidents and tense situation.

The local administration is trying to control the situation, while curfew has also been imposed in the city.
A latest report said that the Army has been called out in the area to control law and order and avert further bloodshed. **
It's a total and fatal collapse of administration throughout the country. You can leave Islamabad out at the most. I wonder if the writ of Zardari government is any larger than the writ of Karzai government in Kabul.
Yesterday ASWJ were protesting against arrest of one of their leaders and when they tried to close the shops of people by force some one attacked their procession triggering this violence.
Aliabad/Skardu, March 3: Thousands of people took to the streets in Skardu in protest against brutal killing of commuters in Chilas. The protesters demanded action against the culprits and blasted the government and law enforcing agencies for failing to protect the commuters and citizens.
Diamer: Thousands also protested in Chilas, the headquarters of Diamer, after the news of violence in Gilgit reached there. Some of the protesters then stopped buses and put many of them on fire, while shooting at least nine passengers.
Hunza – Nagar: Protest demonstrations were also held in Hunza – Nagar to condemn the killing. Hundreds of people reached Aliabad Hunza to register their protest, grief and anger.Astore: There are reports suggesting that thousands of people might come on the streets tomorrow in Astore to condemn the killings in Gilgit.http://pamirtimes.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/n00150175-r-b-008-300x200.jpg

Law and order has been tightened across the region, according to official sources.
Rahman malik says that there is no sectarianism in gilgit and there are some hidden hands involved in the violence, i wonder how hidden are they that the interior minister can't see.
He sees 'hidden hands' and 'third force' in everything under the sun. But hardly any day goes without blood spilling on streets. From democracy to defence and from economy to energy, Zardari, Gilani and Rahman Malik do not have more than a dozen of sentences that they keep repeating everyday without fail.
bass dou char flats aur europe main, eik adhi mill, kuch hazar $$ suiss bank may aur gardan pay kuch hazar baygunahon ka khoon, tab tak time aa hee jana hai.... in kay bhagnay ka ya in ko bhaganay ka
It’s not just Rahman Mailk or this government, we have seen this dialogue being used by everyone who comes to power. They just don’t get tired of repeating it so constantly
true ... everyone used the same tactics in the past.
only rule of law can bring peace!
Rehman Malik says, there is no sectarianism in GB, it all hidden hands, just like he says on asked about khi situation "mqm and anp ki apas main kio layare nahi" .. can someone ask him then why is that the situation is so uncontrollable there :(
I know of people who turn off their television sets, when RM comes on!
I know of people who turn off their television sets, when RM comes on!
RM is least bothered about it. Whatever people say, the government people say they will complete their term, come what may. That's all they have to say...
