Gilgit violence

Re: Gilgit violence

Over 80 foreigners evacuated from Gilgit
**
GILGIT: Authorities on Sunday sent a military aircraft to the northern town Gilgit to evacuate over **80 foreigners, mostly Japanese tourists
, who were stranded due to sectarian violence, police said.

The town has been under an indefinite curfew since April 3 when at least 14 people were killed and over 50 wounded in two separate incidents in Gilgit and Chilas towns.

Around 65 Japanese, mostly tourists are being transported with police escort to Gilgit from the nearby Hunza valley, senior police officer Tahira Yasubuddin said.
**

Another batch of more than 20 Japanese and some other foreign visitors are stranded in Gilgit, she said.**

Will they ever return to Pakistan or will they ever suggest anyone to visit Pakistan? :(

Re: Gilgit violence

   On one hand, I’m glad all are safe, on the other, it will kill international tourism further in Pakistan. Sad, sad, sad.

Re: Gilgit violence

It's just a way to shirk his responsibility and an excuse for his government's incompetence.
Fact is that Pakistan's problems all have internal sources.

Government banned the extremist violent outfits and yet they easily fool Rehman Malik in the broad daylight by simply changing their names. Sipahe Sahaba changed its name to Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat, and Rehman Malik allows it to come openly in processions under Difa e Pakistan banner.

People from Northern Areas have always been peaceful people. Yet Talibanic extremists are showing up their extremist hateful colors there as well.

Re: Gilgit violence

Seems like blackwater, xe services, spies and others are interfering inside Pakistan along with help from other groups such as qadianis etc... to destabilise the country causing rifts between the different ethnic groups and in turn cause a civil war within the country and make it easier to take over by the judeo christian militaries. When will these countries people understand that fighting amongst themselves is what the enemy want and to weaken them!

Re: Gilgit violence

Let me add a few more: RAW, Mossad, MI6, Yahood, Hinod, Nasara.

Fact is that it is Talibanic kharijism that is responsible for it. It can be defeated. But it needs courage to accept that the problem lies in Pakistan within, and that the only it could be eliminated is by going after these monsters. Others may take advantage of our weaknesses but the source of the problem is in Pakistan itself.

Re: Gilgit violence

If we just seeing 'third force' and 'berooni haath' and start working 9-to-5, things will be far better.

Re: Gilgit violence

The judeo christian and hindus extremists are to blame on the whole. You can blame the taliban as much as you like but the fact is that more people have died due to the first threes terrorism than the other way round.

Re: Gilgit violence

I swear to God I am afraid to click on the link. It hurts too much to even think what might be on this video

I would like to politely ask my sunni brothers to take some break and stop the shia killing for a bit. I wish some how all the shias can either move to Iran or India. Let pakistan be 100% sunni country. All the highly respected shia scholers condemn violence of any kind but how long will shia keep tolerating? enough is enough

Re: Gilgit violence

You knows things are bad when Kashmir areas are now being affected. Not good.

Nominally, Kashmir region is the safest...I wonder how long that now lasts.

Incompetent government.

Re: Gilgit violence

No sunnis are killing shias, there are some idiots which even the sunnis dont relate to them. Some people are trying for some time to create a sectarian conflict out of it, but kudos to the shias and sunnis for foiling this attempt.

I feel very sad by all this, and I hope the government would come to the rescue of all the people who are feeling insecure in the country.

Re: Gilgit violence

sad state ... its pretty clear third force is behind all this ... but isnt it govt and security agencies duty to bring the culprits to courts! ... why have they given up?

and in other news Hazara community in Quetta is being butchered everyday ... just because they happen to be shias

6 people from Hazara community were killed today! :(

Re: Gilgit violence

Ironically, this is happening when a liberal party is in power. I know the bhutto clan is shiite, but is zardari one as well?

Re: Gilgit violence

Pakistan has become a big butcher house. Democracy is the best revenge!
Jeeye Bhutto, Jeeye Zardari, Jeeye Bilawal.

Re: Gilgit violence

Then why are sunni leaders and average sunni in country not coming forward and at the very least condemning these acts?

Here is an eye witness’s account of events from Chilas!
