Gilgit Baltistan legislative assembly elections

completely swept by PML(N).

Another disaster result for PPP where it got wiped out despite being previous ruling party.

Same goes for PTI, as it could hardly win 1 seat. Its the same area where IK did a jalsa few days back and declared the change is inevitable here.

Re: Gilgit Baltistan legislative assembly elections

Pti has nothing to lose here, PPP the incumbants could in one seat here

Re: Gilgit Baltistan legislative assembly elections

This time elections were held under military supervision, as demanded by PTI, & now IK can’t say that elections were rigged.

Re: Gilgit Baltistan legislative assembly elections

I’d be more interested to hear what PPP says on this matter. Last time PPP was ruling the center and they got the government, now it’s pmln. The governor of GB at the moment is a pmln man, and as per the opposition the government had been announcing development programs in the state before the elections. Anyways, this is how it goes in Pakistan. The biggest loser of this is PPP.

Re: Gilgit Baltistan legislative assembly elections

PPPP is almost melted and vanished from political landscape of Pakistan. First in 2013 Elections, they lost Punjab (once their power base) by winning only 1 seat out of Punjab 148 General Seats, also failed in KPK & Balochistan and now in 2015 GB also slipped from PPPP hands.

I think Media 've played major role in bringing destruction to PPPP. I remember from 2008-2013, not a single day that PPPP Ministers not defending corruption scandals on dozens of TV channels daily. Hajj Scandal,Railway destruction, Raja Rental, MBBS (Gillani and his Family Corruption), Zardari $60 Million, 5000+ Target Killing in Karachi while PPPP, MQM and ANP in bed with each other for 5 years, SC kicking Gillani out etc. Recently Thar Parkar deaths , Water Shortage, Ayyan Ali alleged connection with Rehman Malik and Zardari, Zulfiqar Mirza Show & corruption stories of Sindh Ministers proved to be final nail in coffin of PPPP

In 2018, I dont think they would retain even Interior Sindh unless Bilawal Bhutto "ve magic stick to turn upside down everything !

Re: Gilgit Baltistan legislative assembly elections

^ agree mostly. Emergence of PTI is another factor as they taken all votes of PPP hence PML-N got advantage.

Re: Gilgit Baltistan legislative assembly elections

Its a washout.. But one thing is for sure. If PML(N) doesnt perform they’ll be ousted just like PPP is cuz they were all over there last time but not anymore.

Re: Gilgit Baltistan legislative assembly elections

Apparently one of the seats LA7 was won by PMLN on 4th recount by 1 vote. They did the recounting 3 times which PTI candidate won in all 3 counts. They decided to re count for the 4th time and finally got the desired result of a PMLN win

Now the winner by 1 vote on 4 re counts is going to become CM GB, Pakistan Zindabad
