Re: GHD straighteners?
i saw one used one selling in isb in someone's salon for rs 15,000/- but it was an old version and i think rather expensive esp for 2nd hand!
other than that i have never seen them selling in pakistan! but would love to find out if anyone has seen them selling in khi, isb or lahore!
in london they usually sell for 100 pounds plus.
Re: GHD straighteners?
GHD were about 110 pounds a few years back in the UK- they were the rage when they came out and remain to be the BEST- theyre used pretty much everywhere- Trevor Sorbie, Toni & Guy- my sisters and nieces swear by them!!! Definitely invest in a pair- having used them on others- I havnt found a a pair that competes to 'em!!! :k:
Re: GHD straighteners?
They're better than other straightners cause they do what it says on the box. Give you gorgeous sleek straight hair, I bought my first pair when I was 15, got them for £98. Nowadays I think they retail just over £100. I would recommend them over any other styling product. Not sure where theyre available in Pakistan though, I had to buy a few pairs in the UK and take them over to Pak for my cousins because they couldnt find them anywhere. I would suggest checking in all the big malls and hair salons.
Re: GHD straighteners?
is it better than chi?
GHD is friggin awesome but it has fried my hair :s
nonetheless I love the straight hair it gives me within minutes
I bought it from Sephora.com for $195 2 years ago.
I've heard great things about CHI too but haven't tried it ever
Re: GHD straighteners?
Ghd all the way they are the best when it comes to strighteining the hair i have dry frizzy hair and when i use ghd they are all silky. but u do need to regularly treat u hair as like all therma products they are damaging to the natural hair. Try the GHD website to buy a pair as u'll get a years warrantly im not sure where to buy them in pak but u can get them all over the place in uk
I haven't seen GHD selling in Pakistan. But you can order them from the net and they will ship it to Pakistan. I use GHD straighteners and I love the fact that they are much slimmer than other makes and heat up within seconds!
But GHD heats up to 210 degrees...and that is a lot! Just becareful b/c if you use GHD or other hot irons often, then they cause the hair to become so dry, brittle and full of split ends.
Use a protective spray on your hair before using GHD. Also invest in a deep-conditioning mask (Boots, Sainsbury's etc) and use weekly to rejuvenate your hair and protect it against further damage. GHD sell their own hot oil, iron oil, thermal hair protectors which protects against the heat and you can use on dry hair.

This has been my major concern too. My hair become too dry and full of split ends. What do i do to make them silky?
Suggest 2-3 protective sprays please.
Re: GHD straighteners?
I use Tresemme heat spray (makes hair so soft as well), a protective spray by John Frieda and another protective spray by Boots, which was great value for money!
Check out the range in **Boots **or **Superdrug **etc if you live in UK.

GHD straighteners are AMAZING! I use them on my hair once a week, using the GHD heat protection spray of course and MA everyone always comments on how healthy my hair looks. I wouldn't be using them too often though, I am sure this would kill your hair as they heat up a lot.
I bought mine towards the end of 2006 for $320 and it still works perfectly.

GHD's own hair protecting spray doesn't work for me. And it has a very low rating, around 2/5 on makeupalley.com so I'm looking around for better thermal protectants
I'm also going to invest in that hair masque
Re: GHD straighteners?
IMO Chi is as good as GHD, I’ve used both.
And I LOVE this product, have been using it since a year and it works really really well as a heat protection product as well as a glossing serum: got2b Crazy Sleek Hot Smooth Flat Iron & Blow Dry Lotion

Tressemme heat spray is awesome, smells yumm too!
