Inspired by other thread “BADARI SAHABA RAA” i have two questions about ghazwa-e-ohad ?

1. Do we consider that war lost ? did muslims lost the war ?

2. Is there a list of Muslim mujahids who took part in the war. Is there a list of Sahaba’s who stayed with Prophet s.a.w when Kufaar’s came back and attacked again or is there a list muslims who ran away ?

I was reading a book ‘Stories in Quran’ and found these information which I would like to share. Its only a short summary about the battle of Uhad and its classification is as under:

• 3rd Hijri
• Abu Sufiyan was the leader of its army i.e. Mushrakeen’s battalion.
• Hazrat Abbas R.A. sent a Letter about planning of war by Quraish to Prophet Muhammad .
• 5th Shawwal 3rd Hijri, Prophet Muhammad sent Hazrat Uns and Harzat Mons R.A. sons of Hazrat Aadi bin Fadhala R.A. for verification about war where they both informed that the battalion of Quraish reached at ‘Areedh’ (near madinah).
• On Friday night of 14th Shawwal 3rd Hijri Hazrat Saad bin Maaz, Hazrat Aseed bin Hadhir, Hazrat Saad bin Abadah R.A. alongwith some ‘Ansars’ given night duty in case if opponents attacked.
• Prophet Muhammad handed-over the flags to Hazrat Aseed bin Hadhir R.A., the flag of tribe Ows, Hazrat Habab bin Manzar R.A, flag of tribe Khizrij, and Hazrat Ali R.A. given flag of Muhajireen and went out with battalion of 1000 men.
• Prophet Muhammad saw a battalion coming towards them and He asked: who are they? Peoples replied: They are Jews allied with Abdullah bin Abi. The Prophet refused their assistance. They returned with 300 mens by saying that the Prophet didn’t accepted his advice.
• Some peoples of ‘Banu Salma’ from Khizrij tribe and ‘Banu Harsa’ from Ows tribe decided to accompany Abdullah bin Abi but Allah SWT fulfilled theirs hearts wih love of Islam so they stayed. Its mentioned in Surah Al-Imran.
• The battalion of Prophet Muhammad was 700. 100 were loaded with armour out of 600.
• The battalion of Quraish were 7000. 700 were loaded with armour, 200 horses, 3000 camels and 15 womens.
• When Prophet decided to retun youngers among them, Hazrat Rafieh bin Khadij R.A. stood on his toe to looks in equal height of others participant. This is how he was allowed. Hazrat Samrah R.A. told he can beat Hazrat Rafieh and he did. Both were allowed to participate.
• Quraish were reached at Uhud on Wednesday 12th Shawaal Hijri 2.
• The battalion of Prophet marched on 14th Shawwal Shawaal Hijri 2 after offering Friday prayers.
• Hazrat Bilal R.A. given Adhan of Fajr on Saturday 15th Shawaal Hijri 2 and they all offered their Fajer prayers then went at battle place i.e. Uhud.
• Hazrat Akasha bin Muhsin Asadi appointed at rightside, Hazrat Abusalma bin Abd al asad khizravi at leftside, Hazrat Abu Obaida bin Al jarah and Hazrat saad bin abi waqas in frontside and Hazrat Miqdad bin Umar at rear.
• Hazrat Abdullah bin Jabeer was appointed as Officer-in-charge of 50 archer and he was ordered to stay on hilllock and donot leave the spot in any circumstances.
• From Quraish side Khalid bin waleed appointed at rightside, Akarma bin Abu Jahl at leftside, equestrian were under the lead of Safwan bin Umaiya, Abdullah bin rabieh was the chief of archer. Talha bin Abu Talha from tribe bani abduldar was incharge of whole battalion.
• When Prophet saw the incharge of whole battalion is from tribe bani abduldar, He appointed from His side Hazrat Ma’asb bin Ameer R.A. incharge of His whole battalion.

• Talha bin abi talha killed by Hazrat Ali
• Usman bin abu talha killed Hazrat Hamza
• Sabagh Ghabshani killed by Hazrat Hamza

• Hazrat Maasab in Ameer by Ibn-e-qaima (Hazrat Maasab’s looks like Prophet Muhammad ). Ibn-e-qaima thought he actually Martyred Prophet (Naozbillah) and announced where upon the battalion of Muslim were fell a part into three (1) some run-aways and reached near Madinah (2) some stayed there (3) some were still fighting with enemies. Hazrat Kaab bin Malik announced that Prophet Muhammad is still alive where upon muslims rejoined and fighted again.
• Hazrat Uns bin Nazar
• Hazrat Sabit bin Wahdan by Khalid bin Waleed
• Hazrat Ziad bin Sakan alongwith five Ansars.
• A muslim martyr who was eating dates.
• Hazrat Umro bin Jamoh Al Ansari alongwith his son and his brother-in-law
• Hazrat Saad bin Al Rabeh

Total 70 Muslims were martyred. 4 were muhajarin and rest were was Ansar. 30 Kuffar were killed in this battle.
