Is ghamsaan a Persian word? What is the meaning of that?

Ghamsaan seems more Hindi / Sanskirat? But again Ghamsaan ka run make it more confusing.

I've also heard it used in Hindi although I think they prounouce it as Ghumasaan.
I believe it means something equivalent to Melee' combat becuase I dont hear it used to refer to modern battles only early ones like mediaval times and before that... or battles were the two sides came really close to each other.

In hindi we say like ghamasaan larai/jung hui instead of ghamasaan ki larai/jung hui

and yes Faris, I think its used for hand to hand battle, but exactly in what context, that I want to know.

hmmm, its getting confusing, cause in urdu we use 'ki'.

Isaphgol is only laxative without side effects..........:D

Punjaa azmaai would be more like one on one, like in olden days, they used to send one pehelwaan at a time to fight. That would be opposite of ghamsaan.

Just dont do what one doctor did and mixed up the sedative prescription with laxatives. :D
