Getting your eyebrows done..

Re: Getting your eyebrows done..

^How many years? "20 years? 30 years?

I can't say anything about people pming you to find out if they should pluck or not to pluck. lol

One of my aunt used to have very thin eyebrows and when she started plucking them, they grew back thicker and nicer.

Re: Getting your eyebrows done..

huge arguments but only Allah SWT knows better.

As long as I heard it, Waxing, pubic hair or body hair is for cleanliness. Eyebrows if you are making them ultra thin to give a different look to ur face then it wod be wrong but cleaning it up for a fair looking skin wont be haram. Becuz you all wod have noticed whenever you get ur brows done you always feel neat and clean. and what about upper lip den? Would dat also be haram? hmphh

Threading/plucking/waxing eyebrows does make them sparse in the long-run. It's different for everyone though.. I know girls that accidently plucked a few 'stray' hair and they never came back, they fill-in the sparse area's with a pencil.

I agree that it's different for everyone and also I didn't disagree with stoppit but I disagree with those who believe that shaping eyebrows is changing the creation of God.

Someone can come up and say that lipstick is haram because putting it on lips over the years can change lips' original colour.

Re: Getting your eyebrows done..

Hmphh.. That is true when eyebrows are made/shaped once, its very hard to get them the same way back.. there re always spaces between them.

On the other hand, putting something on is a different matter then actually changing something that is natural. In that case I think Even taking a hair cut would be haram cuz that changes our appearance. Now we need a Mufti Maoulvi here LOLZ

Re: Getting your eyebrows done..

isn't bleaching that close to your actual eye actually dangerous?

Re: Getting your eyebrows done..

wasey tu there are so many thing that are considered 'haram' like
1) I know some ppl don't wear perfume becasue of the alcohol and say it is haram.
2) some ppl don't wear lawn ka fabric because it could be too see through and say it is haram
wgerah wagerh there is a long list, my point is it all depends on intention, if I want to make myself look good for my hubby, I think this is valid enough reason to do my eyebrows, put make up on smell good ectc.

Baqi allah knows.

I asked, the staff said it was safe.. some girls had a yellow colored 'herbal' bleach on as well.

Arab women (most of them) don't get their eyebrows done, but get the rest of their bodies sugared/waxed.

I didn't want to argue with the lady from Kohat, but she was bent on having the last say that waxing other parts (arms & legs) is 'haraam'.

Re: Getting your eyebrows done..

You shouldnt do your eyebrows even if your husband asked. When someone tells you to do something which is classed as haraam, u shouldnt do it!
There are other ways to beautify yourself for your husband. Makeup, perfume can be worn but this should be only when you are in the house or somewhere no other non mahram can see/smell you.
And yes you cant dye your hair jet black…
