Re: Getting over mishaps at wedding
^ Hi Ami,
without getting into too much detail - my mendhi lasted longer than the marriage, no, I didn't get married in Pak - both me and my ex were UK based.
Thanks to everyone for all their kind thoughts and best wishes and I wish the same for all the newly weds/long term weds and the soon to be wed inshallah.

Re: Getting over mishaps at wedding
Ariana I wish you the best of luck in everything. I will keep you in my prayers.
As for mishaps, well 3 of my aunts walked out on my wedding and didn't show up for the valima day. Don't ask too much family drama. It upset my mom alot and infuriated me but what goes around comes around hopefully and today I am so happy alhamdullilah that I could care less.
Ariana, your post was very inspirational. I actually sent a copy of it to one of my co-workers who is getting married next month. We were like...this totally makes you look at things from a different perspective.
I'm so glad that you moved on and are doing well. May Allah bless this marriage.
P.S. Girls...lets not ask Ariana any questions about what...how...when...it's inappropriate...thanking you in advance!
Re: Getting over mishaps at wedding
ARIANA, HONESTLY, you just made me think from a different view point! I have been planning my wedding for the past two years, and i am getting married in summer of 2009. I have been thinking about every single detail, to the last pin that goes into my hair. I have been thinking about making the most amazing DRESS, best MAKE-UP artist, decor, fresh flower choices, the colors, the lighting, , , EVERYTHING basically, but really
what we should be thinking about is our furture together with our soon to be Husbands, making sure that we will be with a person who will truely love us, AND of course, whatever is in our faith, may it be, but we have to be the ones to hope and find that right person.
Your post made me think how lucky I am to have a finace who is so loving, and i really need to appriciate that, and make sure that we both are doing everything to keep us both happy, and than we can think about making out wedding perfect. Insha'Allah, i really hope and pray that your future brings you happiness and lots of laughter! AMEEN!
Thanks once again for sharing=)
