What body changes have you noticed as you age? I used to be able to get away with not eating much throughout the day and still being able to remain alert and give 110% in whatever I was doing. Now, if I don’t have a small snack or something to eat by 10:00 a.m., I feel like i’m going to faint. I used to also be able to stay awake at night and function properly the next day and I can’t even do that anymore.
Getting older sucks. Is it just me or are others noticing any changes as they get older?
used to be so fit n had a lot more energy n stamina than what i have right now. used to study fulltime and work fulltime alongwith working out in the gym all together… hardly sleep 6 hours and still be so active. Now, I do nothing all day, eat pizzas and drink pepsi.
physically however, i feel that my face is undergoing the transformation from a boy into a man’s face… my features are becoming more defined and mature, So is my belly
The sleep part is so true Mehnaz. I was always a sport for staying up till late and the last one to bed. Now unless I am abnormally interested in what's going on I am the first one to sleep.
Also I feel like Dory from Finding Nemo at times...very forgetful. With this flu I even look like her.
I have an issue with sleep too. :( Once upon a time, I used to sleep soundly and deeply. Now, i'm such a light sleeper and wake up at the slightest sounds. I hate it.
I can’t sleep in any more. Once upon a time, I used to be able to sleep until 12:00 p.m. Now, on the weekends, I’m up at 6:00 a.m. No matter how much I try, I cannot sleep-in.
Amitabh Bachan once said, "getting old is a weird process - you start growing hair where you don't need it and start losing hair where you really need it."
That being unable to sleep late also applies. Fortunately my wake up time is a little more reasonable than yours. I am usually up by 8 or 9 at the most. Sleeping till 11 or 12 is not one of my feats any longer.
And sitting down for long also tires me. On long drives my patience is exhausted after 2 hours too. I have to get out and walk around a bit or stretch.
Food I can still do without.
As a person I've gotten better as I aged though...if that brings any redemption!
