gerua = safron color
naaranjii rang for Hindus is same as green color for Muslims. saadhus/jogis wear this color. this color has also been adopted by RSS, Shiv Sena and VHP just like it has been adopted by 'hari pagRi walas'.

Gerwa is bhagwan Shiva’s colour, which has been adapted by not only Shiv Sena but also sufis in Sindh. There is strong influence of Shiva in sufi traditions of sub-continet. I have just ordered a new book on this:

saanp wale are basicall jogi (thats how they are known. No one call them saanp wale. right). So jogi (might be someone who took jog) and jog might also be related to shiva followers. More from @queer @Southie
