Since when are spoiled royals "shanth" ? They always take stuff out of proportions :p
Re: Gerua
Yes. There is an active campaign to search and destroy frivolous posts and dislikes. If you spot any, please take uchith action.

Re: Gerua
Just an aside - Shiv sena isnt about the hindu god shiva, its named after the maratha king shivaji. shiv sena started as a marathi nationalist party, and and now dabbles in being pro-hindu but still very much a pro-marathi party.
Re: Gerua
Who is Janita? Really unique name. Has a nice ring to it.
Re: Gerua
I strongly object to Lord Shiva not being capitalized by the gentleman.
Re: Gerua
you mean ‘sapere’? [sapera - singular]
not just in Sindh, gerua robe is showing up in India too, especially in Ajmer.
it’s not about tradition because Muslims have been traditionally using green color robes. the fact of the matter is that a large number of people who visit those graves are non Muslims [majority of whom are Hindus]. **it’s about pleasing them.
**
did you know that most of the businesses in and around Ajmer graves are owned by Hindus and the chaRhaave ke phool are exclusively grown on exclusive farms/patches and supplied to the visiting customers by Hindus.
another intriguing thing is that these flowers are then resold and taken to different mandirs in the region for chaRhaavaa. i believe they think that these flowers are ‘sacred’ [na’uuzobillah].
also, even the chaadars are recycled inummerable times. it’s a big business and i’m amazed to see how Hindus and Muslims come together in this ‘common’ purpose.
now, you can see why qabar-parasti is so popular in India. [astaGhfirullah].
Re: Gerua
@mahool from ancient era we have a quest to control mind or self control. For this matter we did several experiments like effect of food (satvik, tamas, rajas) on mind, effects of colors on mind, effect of tone (vani), dressing, daily routine, habits etc on mind. Gerua, kesariya, koltari bhairav, shwet are generally wore by sadhu-sanyasis..(they feel like yo yo
). It is said that colors have meanings. Lama (Bhuddhist monk) wear gerua, soofi wear gerua, shwet (white) green, black I think many colors. aghori wear koltari bhairav (dark black), shwetamber (jain monks) wear white, some don’t wear cloths like naga sadhus (Hindu monks) digambar (jain monks). Gerua, pitambari, kersariya are supposed to be holy colors by Hindus just like green by Muslims. @muqawwee123 jog is another name of yog (addition) jogi means yogi. We generally call sadhu-sanyasis jogi. Enjoy this song https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=mlWyRKrhYzU there is a similar, beautiful Punjabi folk song “too sach sach aakh ve jogi..sajan milsi ke na milsi”
