Geo Vs ISI

Re: Geo Vs ISI

If I am entitled to have an opinion and express it freely, how it should become an emotional blackmailing and undermining of the civil society? What is the benchmark to decide that mine is an emotional blackmailing and yours is a godly revelation? You can disagree with my point of view and I will take it gladly. That’s fine. But no one has the right to stop me from having my point of view, however wrong it maybe.

Army and the ISI have been crucified on this forum for their roles ranging from Mehran base attack to Abbottabad disaster in recent times and everyone has been a part of the bashing for all the right reasons, including myself. I am not at all for holy cows. But I do not want to create another holy cow in the shape of media just because I want to domesticate existing holy cow.

There have been far serious allegations on ISI chiefs to put them in the dock than a claim by an anchor-person for planning an attack on him. What are our priorities after all? I will again come back to my point in this particular case: Hamid Mir must get justice even If it was a handiwork of the ISI. But the verdict must come from a competent authority or a court of law.

Bring ISI under the law, but please do not create new deities.
