Can you delink an aam fauji from his general? Do you think Jang Group constructively criticized ISI in Hamid Mir’s case? The verdict was announced even before the FIR was registered.

There is no question of nurturing any demi-gods, be it Army or media. That’s my point. As I said in my post earlier, we cannot barter one sacred cow for another.

Geo was absolutely wrong to run a media trial on ISI/Army while the victim laid unconscious. I have made myself pretty clear on this issue somewhere in this thread. My post was a response to this statement of yours: "How an anchor-person sleeping covered in his blanket in a warm bedroom could be equal to a soldier standing guard at the border in the middle of a frigid night?". This kind of emotional blackmailing, and undermining of civil society to stop. Who decides who’s more equal to whom?

You know as well as I do that Pakistan army neither views itself nor operates as bunch watchmen only there to guard the borders in the middle of frigid night. We wouldn’t be in this bloody mess if that’s all they ever did.
