Geo is most likely partly funded with CIA money (not conspiracy, Newsweek cited report that said that CIA/state dept. funds Tv and radio channels in countries such as Pakistan) and thus is a mouthpiece of americans

I don't know abut the article...but I don't like the policies of Geo..
Its being rated as a second class news channel now full of star plus dramas

The quality of the programming is good but a lot of the programs are fitnah and misguidance for simple minded Pakistani Muslims, on a lot of the programs they provide a medium for the scum of our society to voice their opnions.

please the article is a load of bullcrap from a MMA supporters. Tell them to shut the hell up. :rolleyes:. I dont find anything objectionable with GEO. they could improve the quality of their programming a bit more. but that will come with time and money.

I dont agree a bit of it. GEO is supported by Jang and they should have got the same policy in newspaper too, but I dont think so, many people may not know but Jang group is one of the largest economic group, they dont need funding from CIA or Jews.

article pointed to cover up ills of the society, but geo bringing it forward to discuss is it a bad thing? certainly its not, there are many taboos we dont discuss or hide but do these mullahs give any practicle solutions to what new generation is facing in Pakistan??

well, i dun agree with the geo people on a lot of things, but yes its a good thing to discuss certain topics openly.

I agree with this article. It goes without saying what a Pakistani Muslim's stance should be on issues such as homosexuality or pornography. Discussing them so openly, where an immature person can pick up wrong signals, can produced unpleasant results.

i agree with u, once i was watching geo and they showed that 50 min in which they showed how ppl were having dates in those net caffee, and after watching that i was extreamly upset and depress for days. and once when i was watching uljhan suljhan i went through those same depression cuz of geo, i hate how they are telling those bayhooda things to ppl who might not ever thought of it, like some of those thing (choices) that i never knew exist are shown on geo and i thought so aisa bhi ho sakta hia?

Well i do not have access to geo here but from what i have heard its getting popular ... regarding the uljhan suljhan program, i know a lot of us don't think that this is happening in pakistan and it does not sound ok for us to discuss it so openly in the media but this is the truth and we have to face it sooner or later.
